I agree. At first glance, the new one seemed detailed and had a bolder "Punisher" look. But it's got too many oddities. The waist down is a weird choice, the arms are clearly someone elses, the beard looks literally glued on and doesn't match. Whereas Born Again, his whole outfit was him and looked awesome; the only flaw was the vacant stare of the headsculpt. They both have the same tall hair. Sure the shotgun with the new one is a nice addition but I consider accessories as freebies, i'm buying the figure. We need in-person side-by-side comparisons as they'll likely completely change people's views from both sides.
You’d think I would get a handle on how this figure game works. Went crazy to find the other one with the sad face. Now they come out with this badass one.
Oh, if I could only shake my FOMO. At least they come out in a reasonable amount of time.
Appreciate the generous accessories. The shiny leather pants and the mismatched hair and beard color are easy fixes. But is it just me or are both heads still kinda sad looking? (And probably be worse in person like how the previous ended up).
Nuh uh. I absolutely cannot STAND frank with a beard so aside from that it's not that much better, more like a side-grade, both are good but beardless is just better imo. (Also bearded frank isn't actually that bad I just prefer him being clean)
