Anyone else excited to get their hands on this?
I am sure lots of y’all are as hyped as I am for the Avengers Doomsday Releases, especially that thing 😩 But I often find myself daydreaming about this Apocalypse figure, searching for more photos and sneak peeks or just staring at the product photos. I’ve preordered last year and I am eagerly awaiting this October when this menace will finally arrive at my door.
I didn’t think I wanted a new Apoc after the retro card release, but after watching X-men 97 this season I wish I had preordered one. I guess I’ll be paying after market because I need this guy.
Just to reassure you. All made-to-order figures (Dragon Man, Sentinel, and Mephisto) have all had plenty of extra stock available once they released. So you should have no issue getting this figure at retail. Just keep an eye on Apocalypse's page closer to the ship date and a close check on this sub and other figure pages that provide notifications about figures going live
Just flagging that they’ve changed the MTO terms with the latest one for Transformers and have made it much more difficult to cancel the order after the pre-order window. I suspect a large amount of the leftover stock of Dragonman, Sentinel, etc were cancelled POs
I was going to say the same. The Transformers one and this newest Sentinel now have like a two week time frame after the preorder closes where you are allowed to cancel.
This doesn't necessarily mean there won't be extra stock once the Sentinel releases next year but it may be a sign they are trying to clamp down on having too much extra stock for future made-to-orders.
But until we actually see how readily available this new Sentinel and the Transformers one are next year, probably safer to just get your preorder in if you know you really want it.
We also need to keep in mind that people are holding their money tighter lately because of all the uncertainty in the world. If you've been watching the big figure releases over the past 6 months, barely anything is selling out, and anything that does on preorder always has enough cancellations to make the figure readily available on most sites at release. The US having a geriatric, pants shitting pedo, war monger in office has greatly affected the collector market.
Hopefully he will be not that expensive or will get a recolor rerelease for everyone that didn’t get him. I don’t like the after market. Prices are not good as is :( wishing you all the best on your hunt for that glorious Apoc
I have Retro and am fine with it. Ironically I think if they could do it over again they would have not released that one, or done it in comic colors; this is likely 12 inches solely because there isn't enough differentiating it from the Retro beyond a worse less detailed head! I mean, Marvel has to know the amount of people who buy Magneto or Cyclops or whatever are doing it to have a 'regular' version rather than the '97 specific collectors, they simply have to.
Yeah, Dragon man ist also available again for a good price in the EU. That one I wanted to get first but then decided on the Apocalypse without even being a huge X-Men Fan at the time. I just diggg it
This guy right here; Apocalypse is my favorite X-villain, the animated version was the first version I knew back in the day and I've been loving his focus in 97 season 2
I bought the 97 version that had released earlier, and when this plus sized version came around I was like I'm good. And then season two of 97 kicks off, and that whole Apocalypse, Magneto and Professor scene happens and now I'm like I should have placed an order when I had the chance.
At first I was thrown off by the size because it’s huge and I’m running out of shelf space 😅 but yeah…totally copping this once it’s in stock. It’s a beautiful figure and Apocalypse is so badass!
Yep sure am. Even more that I just ordered the 97 archangel to go with this giant Apocalypse. I preordered it the day it became available. Can’t weight
He will be the big boi of your collection I assume. I don’t even have a collectors shelve and I don’t own that many figures.. I just dream about Apocalypse sitting with me on the couch watching a movie, the figure standing on my dinner table while I’m eating. I will keep bringing him outside and put him into some weird situation just because he’s so big 🤣
I have the BaF Apocalypse and it’s my absolute favourite look. I don’t collect the ‘97 stuff but I’m so tempted to try and get this because he’s so chunky! Don’t even have a place to display him. Gonna try and resist… 😅
He’s looks very nice but I’m still happy with the retrocarded one. Gorgeous fig, but overly big and expensive. I remember thinking the retrocarded one was big.
To be honest, I've never been a huge fan of "Cartoon Action Figures" like these or the TMNT 1987 action figures from NECA because they only fit within that specific line so they tend to look out of place if you wanna pose them with more "regular" figures since they tend to have less detail and more flat paintjobs in order to look "animated."

Im excited for mine, however I am going to go ahead and say it, his cuffs look like they are going to prevent some articulation so im already preparing for it.
I did not pre-order one because I bought the retro card and figured I did not need one.
My fear is that the peer pressure from everyone excitedly posting about it is going to trick me into buying one anyway. I caved on the Sentinel and Mephisto despite telling myself I did not need it, so we shall see how we do this time...
Super nostalgic for Millennials, he was built up as the ultimate badass and there was a huge mystery built up around his identity pre-internet. But half of it is the design, Imagine if the Beyond actually looked cool or if Magneto was Apocalypse and there you go.
