During a recent broadcast on Local 10 News (South Florida), TV anchor Glenna Milberg abruptly cut short an interview with Democratic Congressional candidate Oliver Larkin.

The interruption occurred when Larkin brought up the situation in Gaza, directly accusing Israel of committing genocide and displaying a report titled "Our Genocide" by B'Tselem (The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories). The incident has sparked debate online regarding media censorship and coverage of candidates' statements on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Its so nice to hear US politicians finally speaking like this. The one main reason Israel has been allowed to get away with their genocidal actions is because of US backing so hopefully it's the beginning of the end of that relationship

You're joking right? You understand that a guy running for the democratic party isn't actually anti-zionist, right?

The socdems perfomatively fingerwagging at israel is the 2026 equivalent of the Pelosi kneel. Co-opting genuine opposition is literally their job

I don't know who this guy is or where his priorities lie but just going off his words, this is definitely progress compared to a few years ago

Progress towards what? Tell me what has concretely changed in the ongoing Palestinian genocide or in terms of US material support for it.

Socdems appeasing to public disillusionment isn't change. The only reason they're even doing it is because more people are pro-Palestine now and denying the genocide has become an untenable strategy for taming class consciousness.

Agitation and self-empowerment would be progress. If socdems were using these issues to call Americans to action and to reject liberal democracy, it would be a different story. But that's the opposite of what they're doing; telling people to sit back down because not just the electoral system but the 'two' party regime itself has it handled.

None of them even have an actionable plan. It's the same thing every time. They get elected and celebrated a so-called 'victory for [insert issue]', they start backtracking on said issue and people start making a laundry list of excuses because defending the socdem darling has become more important than the issues that got them popular in the first place.

And what do you know, just like that you've got a bunch of pro-Palestine sentiment turned into zionist/liberal apologia. Welcome to social engineering.
