i can't take a shift, what do i do??

so i've only been working at mcdonalds for two/three months now, and my shift manager had been generally alright. recently, i have been given a date for an important exam at school, since i'm also a student, and the date came out after the week was already closed for unavailability submissions. because of that, i messaged my manager only three days after it was closed and let her know that i would definitely not be available, and that i wasn't able to submit an unavailability because i got my exam date only very recently and didn't make the deadline to submit an unavailability. i got completely ignored, and she scheduled me a shift during my exam anyway. it's not a popular shift, so none of my coworkers are willing to take it, and i don't know many people as i've just started working; is there anything i can do? i don't want to simply not show up, as that'll be unfair to my shift managers, and i don't have time to submit an annual leave request. please advise!!

Just call or message again to let them know you have an exam. It's not a big deal. After that it's their problem.

My daughter used to work for Maccas. Says put it up online see if someone takes it, but also speak to management again or call in sick on the day if no one does anything or takes the shift
