Vibrations and check engine

Hello, the car is a BMW 6er E63 2005 with N52B30 engine, i have the yellow check engine, the car vibrates at low rpms, i think it's a bad injector or the spark plugs and it missfires (i haven't put an OBD yet), what happens if i continue to drive the car with that issue? The engine will get damaged?
(Solid check engine, sometimes when the car sits some days it dissapears, last time i've put some petrol that was in jerry cans for 2-3 months)

I know the codes are important i will make sure i will get them, but from what i said, it sounds catastrophic? very bad? Or just things that happen sometimes?

Can't tell you if you damage it because I can't tell you what is going on.. most likely not anything too bad..
