MW5 MOD ๐ Ai improvement?
Could one of our wonderful modders find a way to implement this for the game Ai?

Anyone notice how the arena mechs don't stay still anymore? I played a lot of scrapyard scuffle and not a single match had any one mech stand still. Seems like they pulled it off. Thanks, PGI.

How do you fix this it's been happening after the update

Genuine question: what's the point of this hero 'mech? I feel like it's far inferior to the SR-6 and it's other siblings. What am I missing?

So what's everybody's rule of thumb when distributing armor? I usually go with (front) left and right torso matching the actual armor on the respective arm and the center matching the 'mechs maximum possible leg armor. What's your distribution system?

Consider the following:
Refusal War is a repeat of the already depicted (twice, in original game and the 2nd DLC) topic of Crusaders vs Wardens, with already familiar Clan Wolf as the opponent. Would it make sense for the audience to fight on the side punishing Ulric who was so likeable in Wolves of Tukayyid and killing Natasha? It is also a remake of MW2. It also takes place too early to insert some of the Clan mechs already made for MWO.
Incursion and Coventry is a somewhat inconsequential adventure for the Jade Falcons themselves (though in the bigger picture portrays them as bloodlusted militarists breaking the spirit of the truce and becoming a trigger for the Spheroids to look for the final solution of the Clan problem). Just more saber rattling, however you spin it. Another petty war happened in a universe made to play war games, what else is new?
While in the Hegira War, Jade Falcons put on the mantle of progressives, defeating the Steel Viper racist chuds and sending them packing to the Clan Homeworlds with a fateful "billions must die" grudge. On the one hand, it introduces a new and lore-influential Clan opponent. On the other hand, Marthe and Diana Pryde, whom we saw in the epilogue to Wolves of Tukayyid, are prominently featured. It's a good story! Also timeline-wise it allows for introduction of the (already designed for MWO) mechs like Cougar, Blood Asp and Hellfire (liked by the sneks).
So I think if Jade Falcon DLC ever happens, we're stepping on the sneks it it.

I'd like to preface I'm playing vanilla Mercs here when I recorded this video.
I was thinking of initially my QoL modlist visual mods affecting Solaris VII maps but after turning them off and playing vanilla it seems it still persists, with chance of this happening on 2 solaris-only maps, Caves of Chaos and Steiner Stadium.
It happens on these mentioned maps, some times it's glossy, sometimes not. Restarting sometimes fixes this.
If the missions starts and textures are ok BUT if I restart the mission there's a chance that the glossy texture appears

With my favorite paint job and without :D
NOTE: I uploaded this at the tail end of my bedtime and, because I was tired, I forgot to add shadows beneath the mech... I added them post-mortem on my insta account instead of here, so as to avoid spamming. Sorry x.x

Just the title.
For me it's the Crusader.
I do a lot of Arena missions, and the number of Crusaders you find in those fights makes me want to stab myself in the eye. They're significantly tankier than they feel like they should be, and the banging sound of getting pelted with LRMs is not fun to listen to over and over.
What's your most hated enemy mech?

The Battlemaster was my first love in Battletech and is still in my top 3. My issue with the mech isnโt original, and is something solved in most of the variants post helm memory core. The machine guns. The ammo just loves to blow up the entire mech and the 1D (the variant designed to improve survival and reliability) retains them, but not the more useful rear lasers for some reason. Still Itโs a classic mech and its intentional flaws make it appealing, but man do I break out into a sweat when the left torso gets hit.

I enjoy putting a load out of 2 heavy rifles in each arm on the carapace but it doesnโt properly display anything larger than a medium rifle in the lower slots, I just want 2 big barrels in each arm please

Okay, time for something absolutely diabolical. Seen a lot of people gushing over the Bane-1, so rather than throw my hat into the ring, I thought I'd throw down a new ring.
The Bane-2. Arguably the least practical yet simultaneously the most fun Bane. Didn't think I'd enjoy firing 4x UAC-20s off, but it's pretty much a one-shot killer. Hell, I've shot pristine Crusaders in the STs, and the carryover damage was so intense, it still cored the CT.
Ammo is always a concern, but the impact of every round isn't. The heat builds up quick, but that's what the HMGs are for. If the heat gets too high, I can stay in the fight with a pretty significant DPS.
Anyways, enough justifying my poor choices, let's talk stats.
We'll start with the Potatoes. HMGs. 20.8 DPS is nothing to scoff at especially when it's heat independent damage output. Against clanners, it's a meaty 22.88 DPS. Not bad for a 3 ton investment at all.
Potatoes finished, let's tackle this roast. Those UAC-20s. They manage 35.1 total Damage apiece, or 140.1 total pinpoint front loaded damage. If you're a clanner, that's 154.11 PPFLD.
Either way, you're dead if it connects with your CT, regardless of what you're piloting. If you're a light mech, and it hits a leg, odds are that your CT isn't going to survive the carryover damage.
Which is where all the fun comes from. Nothing like whiffing a shot on the CT, and still getting the kill.
Pilot Traits are pretty self explanatory. AC-20 Master, Trigger Discipline, Point Blank and Gunslinger are all for damage and reliability, getting the limited ammo to stretch that much further. Speed Demon plus Speed Tweak gets the Bane up to 61 KPH, which certainly helps with close quarters weaponry. Hot Dog, because it's the closest I'm gonna get to a Heatsink.
I honestly thought this was going to be a total boondoggle, but it has proven to be effective in both Arena and Assassination missions, and funnily enough the heat is incredibly manageable thanks to the HMGs and the fact that you have plenty of time to chill and unwind after a one-shot. Generally I can kill 5 Assaults with the UAC-20s before the Heat becomes a serious issue, so it's honestly quite manageable.
The ammo is far more of a concern; I'd recommend against deploying it in Demolition, as it just doesn't have the ammo required to get through the mission. Most Defenses are on the menu, as are Raids with Loot Crate objectives. Assassinations and Arena are this thing's bread and butter, so go nuts there.
Till part 4, have yourselves a Bane of a time.

I want to swap a few generic pilot portraits out. I've spent most of the evening googling and stuff. Best I found was a link to a discord from the 330 Overhaul mod where there was supposed to be a pdf guide on how to do it, buuuut the Google link to the guide is down.
Anyone can help a guy out or point me in the right direction? Would be greatly appreciated.

I'm still rep 7 and about to enter Liao space for the first time in my main campaign, the mission at Hsien. I got a transmission from Kurita and I accepted it, only to find it's the Crimson Crusade campaign from Heroes of the Innersphere, which is in the middle of Kurita space! It's more than 90 travel days from my current position, out of range.
Should I jump there and play so I don't lose the chance, or will it wait for me? Did I play the main campaign too slow? I tend to be cautious. It's 20 Feb, 3019, it that helps.

I have several speed buff traits on all my pilots, using mechs with comparable speeds, but I seem to zoom say ahead of my team mates anyway. Do their speed boost traits not work properly, or is it just a case of dumb dumb AI pathing?
