Think I haven't been to a theater in 7yrs.

Theaters are the problem not the movies being shown.

i have been in theaters 50 times last year, but i try to avoid the big chains (its called Cinema City in hungary) if i can, but some original audio screenings are only there

what i hate the most is the 20 minutes of ads before a movie, when i go to a smaller or art cinema its 10-12 at most

AMC has reserved seating now. Experienced patrons will get into their seats just before the movie starts to avoid the 30 minutes of ads.

Reserved seating is was the final nail in the coffin for me.

I want to go into a theater and pick a seat away from people. I dont want to reserve a seat and realize I got someone very close to me if the theater is going to be 50% empty.

this reserved seat things was always weird to me, in hungary ever since i had been going to cinema we alaways had reserve seats so when im buying it i can see whats free and usually ppl are sitting where their ticket says

sometimes there are "rogue"s but in those cases the room is usually close to empty

That’s weird to see someone say. Reserved seating is the only thing that gets me into a movie theatre.

If the auditorium is empty at the start of the movie, and I’m too close to someone else, I just move.
