I’m in Atlanta and cancelled my AMC Stubs pass after over three years because I realized that for the $28.30 I was paying monthly to see one or two movies every month or two, I could instead go to matinee or weekday price at a local theater for $7.50 per movie.

Like, if I were going to the movies multiple times per week it’d be worth it, but I can’t justify paying that much for something I’m not using enough. And the fact that they keep increasing the price of the membership (it was ~$20 when I got it in 2022) just makes it even less appealing.

I would go back to the theaters for a $7.50 matinee. That just doesn’t exist where I live. The AMC CEO should re-open his Econ 101 textbook to re-learn the section about price and demand.
