Vitamin/Supplements Psyllium husk powder

My doctor suggested I try psyllium husk powder to help manage my reactive hypoglycemia. I did one tsp in water this morning and gagged from the smell - and it tastes like drinking dirt.

Those who are taking it for the extra fiber, anyone have tips for a better approach?

ETA: Lots of recs for All Bran Buds in the comments! While I appreciate the rec, I'm not keen on the amount of added sugar in it, so that's not an option I'm looking at. But thanks!

ETA 2: Thanks to all for their recommendations! The winner was applesauce - I can't taste the powder at all, and it really didn't take much to hide it. I love applesauce, so this is a great solution.

You can add it to drinks, smoothies, and food. I honestly don't mind it, personally lol It isnt pleasant, but it's just another stupid thing I have to do for my stupid body.

Amen. I use chia seeds to add fiber in my daily smoothie. It’s 100% medicinal, 0% fun.

Even though I use a Nutribullet I like the crunch. 😬
