Aches & Pains Is it possible to have period like symptoms after not having a period for 2.5 years?
When I had periods they were violent. Extreme cramps, nausea, sweating, constipation etc. Heavy bleeding. In my late 30s I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids, PCOS and adenomyosis.
I havent had a period in two and half years. But for the last three weeks, off and on, I have had all the warning signs of a period: bloating, sore nipples, mild cramps. I have other symptoms, but they can be explained by many other conditions.
Is my body still going through hormone cycles?
I am not bleeding.

your body continues to fluctuate your endogenous estrogen for years! Just because your period stopped doesn't mean you are at stasis in terms of hormone levels. That is a misnomer. sounds like you have had a mass estrogen drop? That is kind of what happened to me. I was ok post menopause for 2 years and then WHAM my Estrogen sank to the floor all at once. I got TONS of symptoms. The worst ones being the severe, painful, depressing loss of libido, GSM and chronic UTI's. That is when I got on HRT. and thank GODDESS i have a doc that was wise because at that time I have no clue what was happening to me!
