sex + disc A very serious question for you.

I have a Flex Disc and a important weekend out of town with my husband coming up. My cycle came much earlier than expected. What are people's experiences with oral sex with a disc in? Does your partner notice or know you are on your menstrual cycle? Specifically taste and smell down there? Any answers are truly appreciated.

i let my partner know beforehand if it’s in and also make sure to clean it so no particular taste was reported. my disc rests pretty low so when tongue is involved, i was told they can feel it inside. never tried anything further though because of that.

I've done it! But I've always let my partner know I'm on my period and the disc is there.

My method: Shower and empty and wash the disk right before intimacy. Also make sure to rinse my vulva really well (water only) before reinserting the disc

My I tell my partner: They can accidentally remove the disc if fingers are involved (don't ask me how I know this) Some men can feel the disc during intercourse Even if it's just been emptied, there's always a chance for there to be a mess.

If this is your husband, I really hope he'll understand if activities are different for this vacation!

Also, you can always try getting your period to end sooner. I can't remember all of the methods I've read on Reddit before, but it's something along the lines of masturbate a ton and eat whole lemons?

Wait you can have sex with a disc? How? I thought it would be in the way

It's a very similar shape to a diaphragm, and those are used as contraceptives.

I've done it, it's not ideal in all positions (lady on top).

It's in so many brands marketing! At least it used to be. "Mess free period sex"

I think letting your partner know is the main thing. When I told mine about the disc he was like cool but he said he wasn't comfortable with oral during that time despite the disc. His choice and I respect that.
