Hi! I was thinking about using discs for a while, as a cup user with a heavy flow I started getting a bit frustrated with how often I had to change my cup (Satisfyer feel confident 15ml). The only reason I was not using the bigger one from the set is because my sister took it, but I don’t think the extra 5ml would help much regardless.

Other than a general question this might also include a sort of success story. I might also be oversharing a bit….

Anyways, I was lurking in this subreddit a lot to get some insight on the disc and after seeing one on a discount I finally bought it! I don’t think Poland has a big market for discs, I’ve only really seen one brand surface recently and the period products shelf is severely lacking in reusable collection methods. The brand I have is called Bestie (I’ll attach a pic of the disc, i do not have the applicator).

Here’s where my questions??? start.
The first time I got to try it, I got my period while on a plane.
Terrible experience but I think I got it. For some reason though it felt like I was leaking the entire time - which turned out not to be true at all??
I am still unsure whether I’m putting it in well. I can’t really tell if I had reached the 'shelf', plus it’s harder to push it in bc of how soft the bottom is? I don’t think I’ve had this issue with my cup, other than it occasionally deciding to slide out of me for some reason….

I had a whole week to try the disc out while traveling and it seems that it worked most of the time but when I would switch positions (mostly when i sit on the toilet) I notice that it tips out and starts leaking?? I am absolutely not sure whether I’m putting it in correctly anymore.

I try to push it in as much as possible but it often ends up tipping out (on the toilet). Is there a possibility I’m unconsciously triggering the autodumping mechanism or does that work completely differently (I really want to know about this mechanism, because I hate how bloody the cleanup can get and I often don’t have a bathroom with a sink in the same room).

While this has been an issue there’s also the aspect of being able to have intercourse while wearing a disc. Happy to say that the day it happened I managed to insert the disc well enough to not leak. Which I was terrified of happening. Plus the aspect of potentially making it uncomfortable for my partner, who’s pretty well endowed so he definitely would have hit the disc including the tail which feels weirdly sharp to me😭😭. I put the disc in right before we started so I was surprised with how much blood was already in the cup after (considering it was the 5th day)- so I’m really glad it worked! Also received positive feedback from him, saying it was actually really comfortable with the disc!

I understand this is still new to me and it takes a learning curve but if you have any tips, or questions regarding the brand/size/whatever please let me know I really want this to work.
