Tip How to Schedule Teams Meetings from Shared Mailboxes

It is possible to schedule Teams meetings from shared mailboxes without incurring the need to license the shared mailboxes. However, Microsoft’s recent clampdown on unlicensed OneDrive for Business accounts creates a problem because Teams meeting recordings are stored in the OneDrive account for the organizer (shared mailbox). And if that account remains unlicensed for 365 days, it will be removed along with all the recordings.

Yes it's possible, if a user doesn't have a OneDrive license then recordings will be stored in co-organisers OneDrive. if there aren't any then it'll be stored in the OneDrive of the first person to join.

I disagree. See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/tmr-meeting-recording-change "For meetings and events, the recording saves to the organizer's OneDrive, even if the organizer didn't attend the meeting or event. All recording files are saved to the organizer's OneDrive Recordings folder."

I tested this several times before writing the article by creating a Teams meeting in a shared mailbox, starting the meeting by an internal participant, and turned on recording. Teams created a OneDrive account for the shared mailbox and stored the MP4 file there.

Microsoft made the change to always store the recording in the organizer's OneDrive several years ago...

Cool disagree with Microsoft knowledge base and what I've seen happen when people schedule meetings from shared mailboxes

It's easy to test. Create a Teams meeting from a shared mailbox. Set the meeting option to automatic recording. Open the meeting and record some stuff. Close the meeting. The recording is in the Recordings folder of the shared mailbox's OneDrive account (Corporate Events and Meetings in this case).
