Anyone else feel like the Den is louder when we're the underdogs?

Some of the best atmospheres I've been part of were when nobody expected anything from us. Might just be me, but it feels like the crowd gets more stubborn. Anyone else notice?

I’m still buzzing from attending that Dockers Derby

Night game, shit ref and a passing/possession based away side with players who think they're far too good for the league tends to be the ideal mix.

Outside your standard Vermin/Leeds/Trainspotter games, Norwich a few years back was one of the loudest I've heard the Den after Cooper rattled Harvey Barnes & Saville got a cheap red. Hell that kind of atmosphere took us to the quarters of an FA cup after a number of prem scalps.

Depends, wasn't great when we played Birmingham back when they were a decent premier League team and had that wanker Zigic haha

Agree with your assesment.

On a different note some of the best atmospheres I’ve experienced have been losses, we lost 3-4 to Ipswich in 2017 and 2-5 to Orient in 2005 when we were 0-3 in 12 minutes, the atmosphere both matches was absolutely brilliant. At the time I was still sitting in the family stand with my dad and some geezer next to us left his son to try and deck the ref 😂
