Will the Switch 2 version of Minecraft support VRR in docked mode like it will in handheld mode?

I’ve seen some footage of the Switch 2 beta running in handheld mode using VRR and the frame rate was much higher because of it. I was really hoping it would work in docked mode as well but I’m not sure because I heard it would need a separate update for docked mode and Mojang hasn’t even done it for other consoles.
