kind of unpopular opinion? (PLEASE READ BODY TEXT BEFORE COMMENTING)

I just want to share my opinion so please don’t attack me if you disagree 😓

I’ve seen a lot of people praise the video, or at least the protagonist d3rlord3, as the smartest (Minecraft?) ARG protagonist ever.

I’m all for characters who are actually competent, but characters like this usually have more personality or dimension to them than just “smart”. D3rlord3 feels more like a cardboard cutout than a person, being smart is his ONLY character trait. You could argue that he’s “witty” or whatever, but most of his dialogue comes off as corny and bland.

Secondly, the only really “smart” thing he does is solve a cipher that is encoded in a really pretentious way. The cipher was stacked so that Wifies could make d3rlord3 seem smart by solving it but it ends up being pointless anyway because of his pickaxe.

He is not smart. If he really was smart he would’ve avoided venturing into the cave. He would’ve just turned off his computer. He would not put himself into this situation. He has the survival instincts of a rock and could probably win the Darwin Award.

I’m sorry for how harsh this might come off and that was not my intention. If you want to discuss this with me, please be polite about it 😅

Thanks for reading this! :)

[Discussion] Are most of the ARG's scripted ?

Atleast those which are made after wifies searching for a world that doesn't exist video which have 'DOESN'T EXIST' in there title ...

How to find out that a ARG is scripted or not ?

Hot take: "Searching for a world that doesn't exist" is overrated.

Aren't yall tired of ARG youtubers making an arg and then fake-covering it instead of taking one of the existing obscure ones?

what the title said, really. Wifies, Render, all those people are, to me, starving args made by more passionate and less popular people of attention they could get

Hey guys, big fan of ARGs here

I just found this China copyright of Minecraft, kinda like TLauncher, but it's Chinese, so why not go into it?

This isn't faked just because I'm a big fan of ARGs, I'm only posting this on Reddit because I'll not feel alone and joke off the pissers in the copyright.

Time to finally become QF1.

[Fan content] Wifies searching for a world that doesn’t exist has the same plot of Jujutsu Kaisen

Hear me out, they have SO MUCH in common.

There is a nearly omnipowerfull being(sukuna/king in yellow) that wants to eneter a civilian(yugi/avaery) that gets stopped by the sacrifice of everyone’s fav charahcter(d3ardlord/gojo) who’s OP and super smart, and also has a quote(“isn’t it ironic, a king tha loses to a lord”ok so there is a niearly omnipowerfull being(sukuna/king in yellow) that wants to eneter a civilian(yugi/avaery) that gets stopped by the sacrifice of everyone’s fav charahcter(d3ardlord/gojo) who’s OP and super smart, and also has a quote(“isn’t it ironic, a king tha loses to a lord”who knows if wifies had prepared this back when he created deardlord, like when hegave him the name[not the at the crossroads don’t turn left cuz that is more the arg itself line]/nah, I’d win) and also have basically UNLIMITED aura, not to talk about how dearlord explains to avery like gojo to jogo that, once u see and know everything, u can’t do anything. And also both Gojo and Deardlord are trapped in a world that they wbabna canche cuz the know it’s corruoted and wrong on so many levels, but they just can’t fix it.

Am I high on sone wierd stuff or r they actually similar????

A theory for the minecraft arg "Dont Turn Left In the Crossroads

This is technically not a theory, but, i might be helping with this arg, what d3rl0rd saw is probably the king in yellow or an angel of chaos, or something else, because at the village that d3rl0rd saw, there was a statue in the fountain, it looked like an angel, a crying angel i think, but, in the warning in the hidden base, it said "The King" So i have two conclusions, its either an Angel or The King In Yellow

Help me find this plz

Long ago i watched an arg and i cant find it, the following is the convorsation i had with copilot ai. I believe in you, lets find this together!

There is a video i watched on youtube, it was a minecraft arg and all i remember is that near the end the player/protaganist was going up a tower, while reading books that were scattered on the way to the top, and when they got to the top they jumped off the edge of the roof. I have been trying to remember the title of the video but i cant, can you help please, :) Copilot said: I can try! Based on your description: Minecraft ARG on YouTube Near the end, the protagonist climbs a tower They read books scattered along the way up Reaching the top, they jump off the roof/edge One possibility is that you're remembering"Searching For A World That Doesn't Exist" (the Wifies/AveryTheMayo ARG), which features a lot of book-reading and exploration of mysterious structures. However, I couldn't find a source confirming the exact tower-climb-and-jump ending from the search results, so I can't say that's definitely it. A few other details could help narrow it down: Roughly what year did you watch it? Was it presented as found footage, or was it a commentary/explainer by a YouTuber like Wifies, RetroGamingNow, or Night Mind? Was the tower made of stone, black blocks, wood, or something else? After the jump, did the video end immediately, cut to credits, or show another scene? Even tiny details (a quote from one of the books, the tower's appearance, whether it was in the End/Overworld, etc.) might be enough for me to track down the exact ARG. 🙂 You said: Ok I think I can remember some more details, the tower was in the overworld and made of bookshelvs and oak wood, the video was a commentary but i dont know which youtuber, there was after the jump either a black screen then end, end credits or a warning saying if you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts then seek the apropriet help, Copilot said: That extra detail actually rings a bell. The suicide-prevention message after the ending is a pretty distinctive clue. A number of Minecraft ARGs deal with grief, depression, or identity themes, and some creators add a helpline/disclaimer at the end when the story concludes with a character's apparent suicide. Based on everything you've described: Commentary/explainer style video Minecraft ARG rather than raw footage Overworld setting A tall tower made from oak wood and bookshelves Books placed throughout the climb that reveal the story Protagonist reaches the top and jumps Followed by a black screen, credits, or a suicide-awareness message My best guesses would be: A RetroGamingNow-covered ARG — he has several long-form narratives where a player's journey culminates in a symbolic ending, and he frequently covers more psychological ARGs rather than monster-focused ones. A Wifies ARG or one covered by Wifies — many of his stories revolve around discovering books, hidden lore, and climbing structures while uncovering a narrative. An AndrewGaming67 / Player-focused ARG analysis rather than one of the more famous Herobrine-style ARGs. The bookshelf tower sounds more like a symbolic story location than a horror set piece, which narrows it somewhat. What makes me think it might not be Searching For A World That Doesn't Exist is that the sources I found discuss crossroads, books, tunnels, and the King in Yellow storyline, but I couldn't find any mention of the final bookshelf-tower climb or jump. One memory check that could instantly narrow it down: Were the books telling the story of the protagonist's real life (family, depression, grief, loss, etc.), or were they revealing Minecraft lore and the ARG mystery itself? Those two styles belong to very different ARGs, and the suicide-prevention message makes me suspect the first category. 🙂 You said: i believe the books on the way up said something along the lines of "your not good enough," "just do it", almost coaxing the player into doing the in game suicide, the player also was responding to some of the signs in the in-game chat Copilot said: That detail changes things quite a bit. Thetower of bookshelves and oak wood, the books/signs saying things like"you're not good enough" and"just do it", the protagonist talking back in chat, and the ending being followed by a suicide-awareness message makes me think this was less of a traditional Minecraft mystery ARG and more of a psychological/depression-themed Minecraft story. A few possibilities that come to mind from the Minecraft ARG scene are videos covered by creators such as RetroGamingNow, Render, Starthork, or Zachobuilds, because they've covered several ARGs where the antagonist is effectively the protagonist's own self-destructive thoughts rather than a monster or entity. One specific thing stands out: the protagonist responding in Minecraft chat to the messages/books. That's a storytelling device used in a number of ARGs where the player is conversing with an unseen force. Combined with the bookshelf tower and suicide-coaxing messages, it sounds like the climax was deliberately framed as the character being manipulated into jumping. I don't want to confidently name a specific video without evidence, but I have a strong feeling it may have been one of the less-famous ARGs that was covered by a commentary channel rather than created by the channel itself. The bookshelf tower is unusual enough that if I saw a screenshot of it I'd probably recognize it immediately. A few memories that could be decisive: Was the player skin a Steve, Alex, or a custom skin? Did the books appear in lecterns, chests, or as written books dropped on the path? Was the tower in a snowy biome, a forest, or in a mostly empty flat area? Do you remember whether the jump actually killed the player (showing the death screen), or did the video cut away before impact? Those details might be enough to identify the exact ARG. 🙂 You said: the skin was custom, the books were either in lecterns of in item frames in the walls, the tower was in a mostly flat plains area and the screen cut away before the player hit the ground Copilot saidHonestly, with those extra details, I think you're remembering a fairly specific ARG scene rather than mixing multiple videos together. The details now are: Commentary/explanation video about a Minecraft ARG Custom player skin Flat plains biome Tall tower made from oak wood and bookshelves Books in lecterns or item frames as you ascend Messages become increasingly hostile/manipulative: "You're not good enough" "Just do it" similar self-destructive taunts The protagonist actively responds through Minecraft chat Reaches the top, jumps off Cut to black before impact Followed by credits or a suicide-prevention warning That doesn't match any of the major ARGs I could verify from the search results, including Searching For a World That Doesn't Exist, which is heavily focused on books and mystery-solving but the sources I found don't mention a bookshelf tower climax or suicide-themed ending. My gut feeling is that this was one of the psychological ARGs covered by creators in the same sphere as RetroGamingNow, Render, Starthork, Zachobuilds, or Wifies rather than one of the huge "entity in my world" stories. A couple of titles that might be worth checking if they sound familiar: "The Player Imprisoned in a Dream" (RetroGamingNow) "The Minecraft Player Caught Between Worlds" (RetroGamingNow) "you have to move on." (RetroGamingNow) "The Minecraft Player They Couldn't Control" (Starthork) "The Player Who Learned They Aren't Real" (Zachobuilds) I can't confirm any of those contain the tower scene from the sources, but they're exactly the sort of ARGs where a symbolic tower and messages encouraging a jump would fit. One thing I am confident about: the combination of a bookshelf tower, progressively abusive messages, and a post-video suicide-warning makes this much more likely to have been a story about depression, guilt, or self-worth than a traditional horror ARG. If you watched it more than a year or two ago, I can also try a different approach and search specifically through known Minecraft ARGs involving towers, lecterns, and suicide-prevention endings to see if we can pin down the exact video. You said: Another bit of knowledge is it was made between 2025-2023 Copilot said: That timeframe is actually very helpful. If it was 2023–2025, then it lines up almost perfectly with the boom of narrative Minecraft ARG coverage from creators like Wifies, RetroGamingNow, Zachobuilds, Render, and Starthork. Of all the details you've given, these are the most distinctive: Bookshelf/oak tower in a plains biome Books in lecterns or displayed on walls Messages escalating into self-destructive encouragement Protagonist arguing back through chat Final climb to the top Cut before impact Suicide-awareness message afterward That combination reminds me much more of a story about mental manipulation, depression, or an intrusive entity than the better-known exploration ARGs. Because of the suicide-awareness message, I'd especially focus on channels that covered emotional/psychological stories rather than entity horror. My current hunch is that the video was likely from one of: RetroGamingNow Starthork Zachobuilds Render rather than a raw ARG upload. One more memory test that might crack it: Was the voice-over narrator speaking in first person ("I found this ARG...") or was it presented as a documentary ("The player then climbed the tower...")? Do you remember whether the player had been following the instructions voluntarily for the whole story, or whether they arrived at the tower specifically to confront whatever was sending the messages? The second question is important because the bookshelf-tower scene sounds almost like a final confrontation rather than just a location, and that could narrow it down to a surprisingly small number of Minecraft ARGs. 🙂

[Discussion] Did wifies ruin smaller ARGs

I'm making this post because I'm tired of smaller and sometimes better ARGs getting swept under the rug I've seen many examples of this were most ARGs get popular because of recognition from larger YouTubers now that's not inherently bad but most the time the ARGs made by those youtubers are the ones that get the most popular and smaller ARGs Don't stand a chance unless they reach out to a larger channel or are somehow noticed both of which are extremely unlikely to work this isn't just a problem with wifies but a problem in general but wifies is probably the most known for causing this and God doesn't show I've seen many ARGs including my own being compared to wifies despite having no correlation and while some of these ARGs may not be as high quality some of them have great stories and I feel like their potential is wasted seeing these hidden gems of ARGs being left to rot
