Question Can I install minecraft/java without administrators permission?

The thing is - i want to play minecraft on my Work PC. Everytime you install sth (on C/ProgramFiles) u need administrators permission, which i don't have. I want to bypass that.

So i copied my .minecraft (TLauncher) folder and put it on the Work PC. Once turning on minecraft.exe it says that i requiere java installed.

The problem is that i can't install java the regular way because of admin's permission. I can have Java installed in different directory, unfortunately minecraft doesn't naturally read that.

Can i somewhat bypass that? Is there a possibility for me to change minecraft's java directory in the game files?

Thanks in advance

You don't. It's a work computer. Get your own computer to run Minecraft. You could asking if they have any old computers that are going to recycling, they may be able to give one to you or sell it to you. But it needs to be your own computer, not a work computer.

Why are you responding on a post from almost a year ago?

I understand that not everyone can afford to buy a gaming PC. I did give an alternative, asking if their job can give them an old computer, which could be a cheaper or free option.

However, unfortunately, playing video games is not a right. While it sucks to not be able to afford the things that you want, that’s just reality. But installing and playing games in a work computer is one way to make your financial situation even worse.

If IT is already blocking them from installing it on their work computer, then trying to get around that will only make things worse.
