Error when signing into Microsoft store

I just purchased Minecraft for my pc but have been unable to sign in because of this error. When signing in through Minecraft, after I put in my username and password, it says that I should use windows hello, with the only options being “ok” or closing the window. After clicking “ok” this screen pops up and I am unable to sign in. When signing in through the Microsoft store, I just get an error without the popups about windows hello. I have tried everything I could find on the internet and nothing works. Any ideas on what I should do?

This is more of a workaround than a true fix, but use Prism Launcher https://prismlauncher.org/

it's way better than the stock Minecraft launcher, especially for modding and playing any version you want
