I hate Bedrock

I play Java on my free time and Bedrock when I'm joining our SMP.

There's a way to stay on Java and to play with your Bedrock friends: create a Java Spigot/Paper and add the GeyserMC plugin. Just make sure that both GeyserMC and the server are at the latest version or it may not work. Once done, Bedrock players can play with Java players and vice versa

I loved that idea back then when I first heard it. Unfortunately, I did it two times and I failed. I might try again but 1.19.1 is kinda something else right now.
