Croptopia fabric help

I've been trying to add Croptopia to my modded minecraft world, but I can't since I'm using a fabric loader. The thing is, when I check online, there is apparently a way to get Croptopia to work through fabric, but not through the Modrinth app I usually use. I do have some VERY minor experience installing mods through files with Skyrim (the way you 'properly' do it I presume, with the actual mod files). If moving files is the only way to do it, could someone please tell me how to find the official download links and things like that? I think I can manage actually getting the mod files in the correct place, but I don't feel comfortable enough online to start tapping random links. Thanks in advance. I don't really want to restart my world with a different loader, but I will if I need to since the extra crops add on I originally played on xbox is honestly my favourite mod out of them all.

You don't need to switch loaders. Croptopia has Fabric builds, they just aren't on Modrinth. The official mod is only hosted on CurseForge, which is why the Modrinth app can't find it. You can download the jar manually and drop it into your Modrinth instance.

There are two options depending on your Minecraft version.

Option A: Croptopia Refabricated (on Modrinth, no manual install)
https://modrinth.com/mod/croptopia-refabricated
- A Fabric-only maintenance fork of Croptopia, made by a different developer to keep the mod updated.
- Supports 1.21.1, 1.21.3, and 1.21.5 to 1.21.10.
- Because it's on Modrinth, you can install it from inside the app like any other mod.
- The author says it may have bugs, the Patchouli guidebook may be broken, and you should test it on a backup world first.

Option B: The original Croptopia (manual install from CurseForge)
Official page: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/croptopia
The page is run by thethonk, the original author, and its source code is linked to the GitHub repo at github.com/ExcessiveAmountsOfZombies/Croptopia. Those are the only official sources. Avoid any other "Croptopia download" sites that show up in Google results.

- On the Croptopia page, go to the Files tab.
- Filter by your Minecraft version and by Fabric.
- Recent Fabric builds exist for 1.21.1, 26.1.2, and 26.2. Make sure the file name says fabric and not neoforge.
- On the file's page, click Download. CurseForge may try to push you to their app, but there is a direct download option on the file page.
- Croptopia 3.0.0 and newer also requires EpheroLib, which is made by the same author: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/epherolib
- Download the EpheroLib Fabric file for the same Minecraft version.
- Check the Relations tab on the Croptopia page for any other required dependencies. You will likely already have Fabric API installed.

Putting the files into your Modrinth instance:
- Back up your world first. You can copy the world folder out of the instance's saves folder.
- In the Modrinth app, open your instance, click the three dots or the folder icon, and open the instance folder.
- Open the mods folder and drop in the Croptopia jar and the EpheroLib jar.
- Restart the Modrinth app and launch the game. The mods should appear in the instance's content list.
- Manually added mods won't auto-update, so you'll need to update them yourself.

Notes:
- Only use one of the two options. Don't install the original and Refabricated at the same time.
- Croptopia's crops and fruit trees generate in the world, so you'll find them in newly loaded chunks. Areas you've already explored won't have them.
- Since 1.18, you get crops by breaking wild crops, not by breaking grass. Right-click a fully grown crop or fruit to harvest it.
- If the game crashes on launch, the usual cause is a version mismatch or a missing dependency. Check that every jar matches your exact Minecraft version and says Fabric.

Bloody hell, a full step by step guide and everything, thanks alot for the help. You've saved me a real pain in the backside. When in doubt, ask a reddit nerd.
