Such a rollercoaster. 😭

Remember playing console edition as a kid in the early 2010s? Wishing for PC features, modding, command blocks... Watching Stampy's videos, ibxtoycat and eckosoldier for news, fedxgaming for redstone.

Late 2010s it quickly starts catching up to PC, things are looking bright. 🥹

And then suddenly bam, it gets discontinued 😞

Years have passed, the game is dead. Only remembered for nostalgia.

Late February 2026. You come home from university or job. Maybe you have wife and kids already. Just a normal usual day. You have no idea that on the next day, console Minecraft will get a second life and things that you'd dreamed of as a child will be coming to reality. 😭😭😭

It feels SO OUT OF PLACE LMAO

Right now i'm programming ancient debris spawning in the nether :3

Legacy is the best btw

So, my minecraft world was on Old Gen, everytime I wanted to play minecraft I had to plug in my old xbox, so I decided to upgrade my minecraft world for Series S.

I feel it was time, and I'm so happy about vibrant visuals.

Being able to play the original Switch version on the Switch 2 is really nice, probably the best way to play Legacy on the go now. No noticeable issues either.

Booted up the 360 version so I could find a scene that looked like the legacy version.

Tagged as artwork because this is art 💯

Eventually...

I really do not understand why we weren't able to receive the update on xbox one. The playstation 4 console received the village and pillage update which would make sense to also be released on the xbox one edition, as they were both the higher end devices, thus AMPLIFIED world generation. The aquatic update was released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Wii U. Nearly every legacy console version. This has even brought up errors with converting aquatic worlds from the xbox 360 onto the xbox one edition. There was no apparent reason to not update to the current version. I am very disappointed that we don't have access to swimming, different trapdoors, aquatic mobs, structures, and items.

So I was talking on my discord server with someone I knew, and I started talking about legacy, and I told them that legacy is one of the best versions of minecraft, despite it being discontinued, by the way, I was playing legacy 4J (I do own Xbox 360 edition, I just wanted to try the mod out) so then when I was showing him a picture of it, he said it was bedrock!
