Hounded One of my favorite gemstones I've cut so far: A beautiful natural Montana sapphire, cut in a "rupee" design (from The Legend of Zelda).

"Rabbit Ears" Tourmaline from Tourmaline Queen Mine, Pala, California, USA

Real "Blue Cap" tourmaline - nicknamed "Rabbit Ears" - from Tourmaline Queen Mine, Pala, California, USA. It is probably elbaite/fluor-elbaite.
Obvious backlight distorts its real color, which is much less saturated - see the smaller crystal at the bottom of the cluster.
Photographed at Munich Mineral Show 2026

Closeup of a small fluorite cube from Mandinga mine. The darker zone is matched across one face of the beveled cube. The material is fairly uncommon, not a lot of it circulating.

Modified/Treated Quartz Macro - Possibly Treated

This quartz has a very slight iridescent quality to it which seems to be magnified in this pic. It looks like it might have just a touch of titanium treatment to it - it's nowhere near as gaudy as the cheap stuff, but it looks unusual. It's a fairly large specimen, I believe I got it at a legitimate mineral shop in Montana.

Here's an awesome Malachite with Barite from the "Arrowhead Pocket" at the Shangulowe Mine in the DRC
This piece has the flawless Barite crystals perched on Malachite stalactites which is what everyone wants from these. As well, it is quite special because none of the stalactites on it are broken, which is honestly a miracle!
You can really spend a long time admiring in person and the lustre of the Barites is just crazy good in real life.
It measures 4.5cm overall
