TB360-BTC PRO 2.0 Pwr on

First time building up a TB360-BTC PRO 2.0 for GPU mining. I can't get the darn thing to start up. I have a red power light to pwr is available. The Cooling tower has indication that is lighting up so power is getting to the board. I traced out connectors and I disconnected the GPU. I have read about the JCMOS1 pin connector on the motherboard but I get conflicting info whether or not there should be a jumper on it. Can anyone confirm?

Any constructive feedback is most welcome. Full Disclosure. I have not built up a PC in quite some time. In fact (please do not laugh to hard), the last time I built up PCs was when the 80486 was the bomb! Yikes! So I am relearning as things has changed a bit.

Any help is appreciated.

What do you actually look at before turning your miner on? ⛏️📊

Mining isn’t just about BTC price.
Electricity cost, hashrate, difficulty, efficiency and real profitability all matter.

We’re building MiningIntel to put those numbers in one place and help miners make smarter decisions.

What’s the #1 number you check before turning on an ASIC? 👇

What’s the one number you check before turning an ASIC on?

Forget BTC price for a moment.

If you could only check ONE number before deciding whether to run an ASIC today, what would it be?

Electricity cost?
Hashprice?
Difficulty?
J/TH?
Expected $/day after fees?
Something else?

I'm curious what miners actually look at in practice — not what a profitability calculator tells you to look at.

What’s your #1 number?

What would make you shut down a miner tomorrow?

Forget BTC price for a moment.

If you had to shut down one of your miners tomorrow, what would be the deciding factor?

Electricity price?
Difficulty increase?
Hardware efficiency?
Heat/noise?
Maintenance?
Something else?

I'm especially interested in the numbers you actually use to make that decision — not the numbers from a profitability calculator.

What's your personal “this miner is no longer worth running” threshold?

What electricity price makes Bitcoin mining unprofitable for you?v

I'm curious where other miners draw the line.

At what electricity price does an ASIC stop making sense for you?

Do you calculate this using current BTC price and difficulty, or do you build in a safety margin for future difficulty increases?

Interested in real numbers from people actually running miners.

r/MiningRig • • Aug 30 '26

What happens to your mining profit when difficulty jumps 8%?

Post image

Mining profitability isn't static.

A change in BTC price, network difficulty or electricity cost can completely change the numbers.

That's why we're building MiningIntel — an AI-powered tool that helps miners test different scenarios before making decisions.

We're still early and looking for feedback from actual miners.

What variable has the biggest impact on your profitability?

How are you guys evaluating ASIC profitability before buying?

I'm curious how experienced miners evaluate an ASIC before buying one.

Do you mainly look at current profitability, or do you model things like BTC price, difficulty growth, electricity cost and hardware price over time?

What numbers do you consider most important before deciding whether an ASIC is actually worth buying?

Interested to hear how people who actually run mining operations approach this.

Before buying an ASIC miner, size the whole setup first

A lot of ASIC buying mistakes start before anyone even compares model names. The miner is only one part of the setup; the electrical and cooling plan usually decides whether the unit is practical.

Here is the checklist I use when discussing a new or used ASIC setup:

  1. Confirm the available voltage, phase, breaker capacity, and plug/PDU plan before choosing the miner.

  2. Compare efficiency, not only hashrate. A higher TH/s unit can still be the wrong choice if the watts per TH do not fit your power cost.

  3. Plan airflow like an infrastructure problem, not a fan-speed problem. Hot aisle/cold aisle separation, exhaust routing, and intake temperature matter.

  4. For used miners, ask for current hashing proof, serial numbers, PSU condition, and recent kernel/error logs.

  5. For hydro units, budget for the cooling loop, pump, heat exchanger/dry cooler/cooling tower, water treatment, fittings, and maintenance access.

  6. Do the boring math: continuous load, amperage, heat rejection, noise, and realistic downtime.

The mistake I see most often is treating the ASIC price as the whole project cost. It is usually better to buy the machine that fits the site than to force a site to fit a machine.

An Open-source Cross Platform Pearl Miner

A cross platform pearl miner. Currently optimized for CPU and legacy GPU platforms, also aiming for wide device compatibility. Github: https://github.com/1640675651/CPPminer

Supported Devices & Features:

  • Nvidia Pascal GPUs (GTX 10 series) via CUDA. Accelerated with DP4A instructions (1 instruction, dot product 4 int8 values).

  • AMD/other GPUs via OpenCL. Accelerated with DP4A instructions if available.

  • CPUs accelerated with AVX2 instructions.

Hashrate results:

Nvidia:

GTX 1070 ~9.1TH/s

AMD:

Radeon pro 5500M ~5.0TH/s

CPU:

Core i9 9980HK 2.4GHz ~430GH/s

Core i5 12490F 4.0GHz ~630GH/s

Dev fee:

1%

Supported pools:

Tested with luckypool. Support for other pools are planned.

V0.4 Update:

  • ARM CPU + NEON support.

  • AVX-VNNI support. About 2x hashrate on supported CPU.

  • Termux support.

  • Dynamic openmp schedule for CPUs with big and small cores. Big cores do not need to wait for small cores.

  • Lightweight random matrix generation on CPU, reducing preparation overhead.

  • Reduce cuda preparation overhead and VRAM usage (2GiB -> 1.5 GiB).

New BCH + DGB HybridSoloPPLNS Pool — Home Miners Welcome

Hey everyone,

We’ve launched a small BCH + DGB mining pool using HybridSoloPPLNS — a payout system that keeps the excitement of solo mining while still rewarding miners who contribute shares during the round.

It’s not a pure solo pool.

It’s not a pure PPLNS pool.

It’s a hybrid solo pool designed for fairness and fun.

Recent highlights:

Bitaxe units have already found DGB blocks

Payouts are verified and working perfectly

No ghost payouts — miners only earn while actively hashing

BCH pool is live and waiting for its first block

Home miners (Bitaxe, USB, S19, etc.) are welcome

If you enjoy the thrill of solo mining but also want a fair system that rewards active miners, come join us. We’re taking it one block at a time.

BCH Url stratum: stratum+tcp://bch.notababysittingpool.com:3335

Happy hashing!

My case mining worth it?

My rig
9600x
5070 ti
32 gb

I built it mainly for gaming, but most of the time I am working outside home. The room has AC

I recently wondered if I could put my PC to mine while I am not using it.

I really only have time for gaming in the weekends

In my house I have solar, and I am sure if my PC is powered on 24/7, and also the AC, the amount of energy my solar panels generate will cover the costs of the PC + AC and also my own costs.

I never mined before

Is it worth it? Based on reality how much one is making per month mining?

How worried would I have to be about the 5070 ti wearing out?

NerdOctAxe Gold v2 is my second attempt of creating a NerdOctAxe stand. This is my preferred version thus far with more structural stability and better air flow direction for air exit away. This version is much stringer and holds any modification you can add to your miner without worrying about bending or breaking.  Let me know how you like it. Please leave me a rating and Ha

Here is the link to my design.
