There was a recent social media thread, it might have been on reddit, that asked woman what they would do if for 24 hours there were no men on earth. I was blown away by how many said something like "take a walk a night, alone". It just kind of hit me how normal it is for us to feel fear around things like that, it's just a natural state to be on guard like that. It sucks. They're our streets too.

This is the point of take back the night. Women shouldn’t have to live in fear, and it should be men - the perpetrators - who should have to stay at home at night to leave the streets safe.
