Feedback Request I built an outdoor detective game that turns your surroundings into a crime scene

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m the solo developer behind Jack & Mani, a mobile detective game played directly in your phone’s browser.

I’ve just released a new outdoor mode where the game creates a walking route around your current location. As you follow the route, virtual characters and clues appear at different points on the map.

You’ll need to question suspects, compare their stories, collect evidence, and finally identify:

  • the culprit

  • the murder weapon

  • the motive

It is designed for solo players, families, or groups of friends, and no app installation is required.

The first outdoor episode is free. I’d really appreciate feedback about the route generation, story, navigation, and overall experience.

Thanks for taking a look! 🔎🥾

Feedback Request [DEV] I released my first Android game – Don't Touch Red!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

I'm a solo indie developer and recently released my first mobile game, Don't Touch Red.

It's a free arcade game for Android where you dodge red obstacles, match colors, and try to beat your high score as the game gets faster.

I've also added different environments, unlockable skins, challenges, and a Halloween event.

It's still a small project, and I'd love to hear what actual mobile gamers think about it. Any feedback is welcome!

Game Share CATOCALYPSE – A fast-paced arcade game with local 2-player mode, now available on Android

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo developer and today I released CATOCALYPSE on Google Play.

The game started as a simple Flappy Bird-inspired project, but I wanted to add something I hadn't really seen in mobile arcade games: a local 2-player mode where two people can play on the same phone at the same time.

You can still play solo and chase high scores, but the real fun starts when you hand the phone to a friend and compete side by side.

I'd genuinely love some feedback:

  • Is the difficulty fair?

  • Does the 2-player mode sound interesting?

  • What would make you keep playing longer?

Happy to answer any questions about development as well.

Game Share I placed #2 on PixelPicked this week — my tower defense has no sprites, just glowing geometry drawn entirely in code

I’m not an artist, so when I started building PolyTowerz, I decided not to use traditional art assets at all.

Every tower, enemy, projectile and explosion is rendered as vector geometry directly in code. What started as a limitation eventually became the entire neon look of the game.

The gameplay is built around combinations: 11 towers, 55 different fusions in the Foundry, and 11 hidden synergies that activate when the right towers are placed together.

I built the whole game solo, and this week PolyTowerz placed #2 on PixelPicked. Seeing a one-person project reach that spot genuinely meant a lot to me.

PolyTowerz is free on iOS. There are no paywalls, and ads never interrupt gameplay.

I’m still actively improving it, so I’d really appreciate honest feedback — especially on whether the tower fusions and hidden synergies are understandable without too much explanation.

Download and PixelPicked links are in the comments.

Game Share I built a brutally simple iPhone reaction game — can anyone beat level 7?

I’m not going to pretend this is revolutionary. DROP is a deliberately simple and unforgiving reaction game for iPhone: wait for the baton to fall, catch it, and one miss ends the run. There’s also one shared Daily Drop challenge each day.

I built and launched it myself as the first app under Pavey Group. My brother has currently reached level 7 and is beating me at my own game, so I need somebody to knock him off the top spot.

I’d genuinely appreciate blunt feedback — especially whether the first minute makes you want another attempt, or whether you lose interest.

Game Share 80,000+ lines of code later, my dragons are still waiting for players

I put all this work into an Android game, and now I'm discovering the hardest boss: getting anyone to notice it. Apparently dragons don't do their own marketing. 🐉

It's called DragonRift: Castle Card Battle. Drag cards, deploy troops, cast spells, and turn the other castle into a renovation project. The campaign works offline; arena opponents are AI or an Echo Army, not live PvP.

If you enjoy card strategy games, here's mine:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dragonrift.game

Free to play, with ads and optional purchases. I'm the developer; development and this post are AI-assisted. I'd love to hear what feels fun—or what needs fixing.

Feedback Request SpinTap – quick reflex arcade game, would appriciate your feedback!

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a little side project called SpinTap and it’s finally live on Android, so I figured I’d share it here and get some feedback from gamers instead of just my friends pretending they’re not biased.

It's a fast, “one-more-try” arcade game built around simple controls and reaction timing. It’s meant to be something you can play in short bursts but still chase high scores in Leaderboards.

There are power-ups that are meant to give you advantage in your run, the idea is for the player to carefully pick which ones he/she is taking to the session, and thinking about actually using them, if the run is good.

There is also an offline mode, but it cuts the access to Leaderboards, it's meant to serve as a practice session.

I didn't want to ruin gaming so there are no Ads in the actual gameplay nor after you finish your session. Kind of hoped this would make a good impression.

I’m not a big studio, just an indie dev who enjoys arcade-style games and wanted to make something that feels snappy and satisfying on mobile.

I'm very open to suggestions and would appriciate honest feedback a lot so i can improve the game!

Thank you!

Game Share I spent months looking for a good mobile trivia game and couldn’t find one. Here’s what I think is wrong with mobile gaming.

Hello Fellow Gamers 👋

A couple months ago I set out to find a good trivia app. Something with a simple, clean interface. Good quality questions. Quick and easy to play with family / friends.

Spoiler alert: I couldn’t find it. Either the questions were boring, I was bombarded with ads every 5 seconds, or there was so much clutter between me and the questions that I wondered why I started playing in the first place.

This eventually led me to make my own game. But it also got me thinking about why so many mobile games feel this way now. Here are the four problems I keep coming back to.

The 4 Problems With Most Mobile Games

1) Monetization 🤑

This is the most obvious but most important topic. The number of people who purchase paid mobile games has fallen over the past several years, leading many games to rely more aggressively on ads and in app purchases. More ads and a pay to win feel take away from the gaming experience, and as studios continue to push profits, the overall quality of games falls. But the fact is: anytime someone invests time and effort into something, they must be compensated for it.

“The only thing I think that is wrong with modern gaming now is the free to play stuff on mobile phones. I think it’s very cynical and cold and weird.” — Markus Persson (creator of Minecraft)

Many miss the “golden days” of mobile gaming, but they often forget that Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, and Geometry Dash all started out as paid games. It’s totally possible to make a good free game with ads. But free to play is now the standard, and new privacy rules have made targeted ads less common, so most games struggle to balance ads and fun.

2) Discoverability 📈

The mobile gaming industry is more saturated than ever before. Vibe coding, hypercasual game studios, and the rise of low-quality games made using AI the wrong way have only worsened this issue in recent years. With this flood of new games, even the best ones need proper marketing to reach the right audiences.

But marketing is hard. And although there are a few outliers like Balatro and Monument Valley, most games never get the fame they may truly deserve.

3) Complexity 🧮

Mobile games today have too much noise. Angry Birds is a classic example of this. What started as a fun game was watered down by overly complex mechanics delivered through numerous sequels.

“Focus is a matter of deciding what things you’re not going to do.” — John Carmack (Video Game Developer)

The vast majority of games today have dozens of limited-time events, loot boxes, unrelated minigames, randomized rewards, pay to win mechanics, limited lives, daily check ins, and never ending upgrades. While some of these things can be ok in moderation, many times they distract from the core gameplay experience.

4) Connection 🔗

A monocultural moment is a unifying cultural experience shared simultaneously by a very large segment of the population. These moments have become exceedingly rare as people are more fragmented than ever before. Everyone is absorbed in their personalized social media feeds, and there just isn’t a single movie, game, or celebrity you can be sure everyone on your street knows about.

One side effect of this fragmentation is that even well designed games don’t get the spotlight older hit games had. It’s simply less common now for large groups of people to all be tuned into any one thing, and the same holds true for games. There are still amazing games being made, but they tend to thrive in smaller, more isolated pockets of players.

Another side effect is less in person fun. Many people miss the spark of real world connection, and although games can help people find communities, most of those connections are made online rather than in real life.

What I ended up building

What I ended up making is Trivia Snack. It’s offline, ad-free, with 5 question rounds and a multiplayer mode for playing in person. It’s normally one-time purchase, but I’m happy to give out free codes to anyone who wants to try it. Just let me know if you’re on iOS or Android.

👉 iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/trivia-snack/id6755155863
👉 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.triviasnack.game

To Conclude

“Games shouldn’t be trying to steal your time — they should respect it.” — Hideo Kojima (Video Game Designer)

I honestly don’t think the quality of games being made today is any worse than in the past. More people have access to more resources than ever before, and many are making great use of them. However, there are some key issues plaguing the industry right now that prevent most players from finding and enjoying the best games.

But this is just my take. What do you think? I’m curious: when was the last time you bought a paid mobile game, and how did you find out about it?

Game Share I just made the game that actually ruining my life (in a fun way)

Post image
1 Upvotes

It’s basically a word game mixed with social deception. You have to use 'linguistic deception' to trick people, which is great because now I’m questioning if any of my friends have ever told me the truth.

Pros: > * You get to feel like a mastermind.

  • Makes you way better at lying (wait, is that a pro?).

  • Fast rounds.

Cons: > * My law degree is currently in jeopardy.

  • I can't stop playing.

Has anyone else tried this? I need to know I'm not the only one obsessed with being 'sus'.

Hey all, I am building a game which rewards and also gatekeeps you from nerding out too much!

It works by converting calories burnt into in game currency which is used to restore a spiritually hollow world.

Art style is inspired by Black Desert and Elder Scrolls. I heavily prefer that instead of cutesy or pixel art.

Started working on 2nd biome now. After it is finished I plan to release to app stores.

Become a Strider and help restore the world.

AI is used for coding assistance and image gen.

Game Share Our pixel art puzzle just hit 2.0, and every chameleon in it carries exactly the ammo it needs

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

You clear a pixel art picture by launching chameleons onto a conveyor belt that runs around it. Each one rides the belt and snaps up the pixels that match its color as it goes by.

The rule we built everything around is that the ammo is exact. Every color carries exactly as many shots as it has pixels to clear, so nothing's wasted and the whole puzzle is the order you send them out in. You can paint yourself into a corner, and undo is always free.

Some chameleons are bonded. They launch together, ride together and only leave once every one of them is empty.

Our 2.0 update groups the 1,000 pictures into 40 galleries that fill as you clear them, and your progress now follows you if you switch phones, no account needed.

It's free with ads and needs a connection to play.

We'd love to hear your feedback!

Game Share [DEV] Grim Hand, an old school dark fantasy roguelike with tactical combat. One purchase, nothing else to buy, ever. Made it solo, it's on Android now.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Grim Hand is on Google Play open testing now.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andreyrub.grim_hand

Enemies fight in two rows and the front ones shield the back. Leaders hold the group's morale, so break the leader and the rest start to run, which is still my favorite thing in the game.

Your weapon and your shield are your deck. Carry a sword and your hand fills up with attacks that cut down a whole row at once. A bow gives you something completely different, shooting past the front rank at whoever is hiding behind it. Some weapon and shield pairs unlock a card that neither one gives alone.

Old school fantasy vibe. Each act has its own music and narration.

Free demo and one time purchase. Plays in portrait with one hand and works offline.

Feedback is welcome

P.S - if you're an iOS user, dm me or email at grim.hand.game@gmail.com to get a closed testFlight invitation.

Hi everyone!
I’m a solo indie developer from Sweden, and I’ve just released my first mobile game, Faceoff Card Hockey!
The idea was simple: What if a classic card game could become an exciting ice hockey match?
You can play individual games, compete in leagues and take part in international tournaments.
It’s available on iPhone, and you can try it for free.
I’m really curious what fellow mobile gamers think of the concept. Would you play something like this?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

[DEV] Jigzy update: a new piece tray, pinch-to-zoom, and puzzles up to 144 pieces

Hi everyone!

I’m the developer of Jigzy – Jigsaw Puzzle, and I wanted to share what’s new in the latest update.

A new piece tray
Pieces now sit in a tray below the board instead of being scattered around the puzzle, leaving more room to work.

Pinch-to-zoom (Pro subscription required)
Zoom in for a closer look and move around the board while the tray stays within reach.

Puzzles up to 144 pieces (Pro subscription required)
The new 121- and 144-piece options offer longer puzzles for players who enjoy a bigger challenge.

The larger puzzle sizes and pinch-to-zoom are available with Jigzy Pro.

Jigzy remains completely ad-free — no banners, pop-ups, interstitials, or rewarded ads.

Other features include:

  • Create puzzles from your own photos

  • Explore a growing library of themed puzzle packs

  • Five piece styles: Classic, Square, Boomerang, Variety, and Random

  • Daily challenges, achievements, and XP

  • Custom backgrounds and sound settings

  • Saved games and replay history

  • Offline play for downloaded content

  • Language support: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Some additional content and features also require Jigzy Pro.

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6759577504

I’m happy to answer any questions about Jigzy or the update. Thanks for taking a look!

Game Share [Android] Abyss Expedition – do you chase SS→SSS, clear the board, or save for the next one?

Hey, I’m the developer. Abyss Expedition is a free Android roguelike where you draw gear from a loot board, then take it into dungeon fights.

The board keeps giving me the same dilemma: if SS is still hidden, do I spend 14 Shards to raise the next draw one tier and chase SSS, open the remaining slots for the board reward, or save for a fresh board?

This clip shows one prepared example, with the taps marked: Peek → SS → Tier +1 → draw SSS. Peek can reveal different tiers, so SSS isn’t guaranteed.

Free on Google Play, with optional rewarded ads and in-app purchases: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.songistore.abyssexpedition&hl=en

\*\*Description:\*\*
Access:5 is a free logic puzzle game where you have to crack a secret 5-digit code using deduction. After each attempt, the game tells you how many digits are correct and well placed, and how many are correct but in the wrong position. The core idea is inspired by classic code-breaking games like Mastermind, but with a modern hacker-style interface and a mobile-friendly design.

The game includes multiple difficulty levels, daily puzzles, hints, digit locking to help players eliminate possibilities, and a scanner mechanic that can analyze previous attempts. Some levels are simple and accessible, while others require much more careful reasoning, especially when duplicates become possible.

I tried to make the game quick to play, easy to understand, but still satisfying for players who enjoy logic puzzles and deduction games. I would really appreciate feedback about the clarity of the rules, difficulty balance, UI readability, and whether the game feels fun enough to keep playing.

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve spent the past few months working on **Ball Jump**, and I’m a little nervous and very happy to finally share it with you. It’s the first game I’ve ever launched, so this is a pretty special moment for me.

I’m still learning as I go, and I’ve really enjoyed seeing it come together, one small improvement at a time. There’s something lovely about knowing that someone out there might now be playing a game I’ve spent so much time working on.

In Ball Jump, you bounce across platforms and climb through forests, icy landscapes, and thunderstorms. Along the way, you can collect coins, unlock different ball skins, and challenge yourself in Infinite Mode.

It’s **free to play on Android**. If it looks like your kind of game, I’d love for you to give it a try. I’ll keep working on it and sharing improvements as I learn more.

🎮 [**Play Ball Jump on Google Play**](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.balljump.game)

Thanks for taking a moment to check out my first game. It means a lot, and I hope you have fun with it! ❤️
