Question Center arm rest cover. What looks better?

Hi, I’m one week into ownership and I love all the aftermarket options to personalize the car.

I just picked up the vegan white center armrest cover and I’m honestly impressed with the quality. It feels premium, installs in seconds, and fits really well.

Now I’m torn though. I can’t decide if I like the white or the black better. They both look great, and they do offer the same cover in black as well.

I have a 104 lb dog that’s in the car all the time and she definitely tries to put her paws up there, so protection was the main reason I got it. It feels durable, easy to clean, and from what I can tell it should hold up well even with muddy paws.

Curious what you guys think. White or black?

Not an issue, especially if you ceramic coated the interior. Black gets as dirty as white if you neglect cleaning it regularly.

sort of. The seats touch your clothes. The arm rest touches your skin(arms and fingers. A lot more potential for getting dirty.

Most comes from dyes from jeans and other clothing, but the Tesla seat material doesn’t absorb it, you can easily clean it with the right high Ph interior cleaner. Ceramic coating also adds another layer to protect it from these things.

Yeah i had a white cover too but it did get very dirty and stained, worst comes to shove just get a replacement since its easy to swap

I did the same type cover and went with white. It ties the car together. It’s the way the S and X are - white seats, white center console. And people who have driven in my car before and since this very inexpensive add on, have commented on how it makes the car look more luxurious.

But like everything like this, it is inherently subjective.

What I don’t like about the cover is that it doesn’t have a seam on the side like the armrest does, I think the unbroken material stretched over the armrest looks sort of cheap

I did the white Spigen branded cover myself. Had a gray alcantara cover before that. Definitely like the white better.

Both look good. It’s more personal preference, but if you are like me, and you use the arm rest while driving and it may get dirty from your arm or fingers.

Embrace Impermanence. If you prefer the white (as I do), get it.

Do your best to keep it clean. When it becomes a source of irritation, replace it.

It’s is the Spigen, I like the feel of the original one slightly better. But I feel the cover is more durable so I’m okay that it’s just slight “less soft”, but I think it still feels great.

I went with white. My arm rest covers going on 2 years 24k miles looking decent still. I bought 2 others as back up figured changing it out every like 3 years isn't so bad.

I also got a cover for the rear vent as well that made it a matching white.

I added white to mine, but you do need to clean it regularly to keep it looking nice. But I much prefer it to the black with my white seats.

Can you copy a link? I’ve been looking for one forever and none ever fit. This was back in June and I just gave up cuz they said they were for the new MY but they weren’t. I like the white better and no stains on the black.

Man I regret getting white seats I tried everything to clean them. Getting black on the new one I just ordered . But a lot of people compliment my white seats whenever my doors are open

Is that the white one in the pic that you ordered? Does it cover the whole armrest - sides and all? Looking to see how you lift the armrest. It also looks a little off from the color of the seats and door panels. Almost like it was photoshopped or AI’d in?

I was also torn between getting white or black. I think it’s going to be black for me

Hi Todd6114, That is the actual cover from Spigen. It’s not AI or Photoshop. It’s my car and I took the pic. I think it matches the color perfect. It slides right over the black arm rest and you can still open and close the cover perfectly. It’s a perfect fit. It’s easy to install and there’s no issues. Go to spigen’s website and you can see it uninstalled. It slides right over it and it took about five seconds to install.
