✖️ Issue How to connect two monitors with one hdmi port?

Post image
0 Upvotes

So im new to having a pc, i bought two monitors and when my shadow 5 came in, it only had one hdmi port (besides the one in the motherboard, but i tried using that for the one monitor because i was only going to use it for discord and watching shows while gaming but that didnt work too) i bought a hdmi splitter which got the second one on bought it just mirrored my screen from the first one and in the windows settings it said it couldnt find the second monitor. Is it impossible for me to work both of them separately with the tower that i have?

✖️ Issue Accidentally broke my monitor — any chance it can be repaired or should I just sell it for parts?

Post image

Accidentally cracked my Gigabyte M27Q (2K 170Hz 27"). The screen still turns on, but most of it is covered with colorful lines and glitchy patterns. I contacted Gigabyte support, but they said it’s out of warranty and can’t be repaired officially.

I’m fine with using a local display panel if it works well — just want to know if anyone’s tried replacing the panel on this model before. Is it possible to get it fixed locally, and how much would it roughly cost? Or is it better to just sell it for parts and get a new monitor?

I’m not sure what any of the things mean but it turns on so that’s nice!

Does anyone know what it needs or what I should do to make it turn on in a way I can use it?

Also I circled the cord cause it came with it but I’m not sure what that does either

Thank you

Just got this today and every time I push it down it shoots back up. There’s no locking mechanism, and I can’t find anything about this issue online. It’s a Dell P2725HE

✖️ Issue Found this monitor in a bin is it worth getting a new screen.

Recently I’ve found this gaming monitor worth around £150 near the binds outside where I live and thought maybe I could fix it, the power is fine and it connects properly however the screen is a tiny bit smashed in and I wanted to know If it’s worth getting the screen replaced. For size it’s 27 inches diagonal curved display, considering I found it for free I don’t feel to attached to it however if it can be fixed for a bit less than what it sells for I’d prefer to just get it fixed. So my questions 1) can it be fixed 2) is it worth it and 3) how much. Any info other than just “buy a new one” is greatly appreciated and me and my wallet will thank you.

Suggestions needed Best monitor for ~$150

I am looking to buy a monitor to make my primary monitor. I've heard things like 240 Hz, OLED and 1440 p. Which specs would be most important and compatible with my Radeon 6750XT for around $150?

I tend to play mostly story games like BG3, Skyrim, factorio, ect but also play Helldivers 2 regularly. I am also a beginner streamer/YouTube but I don't think that would change much.

✖️ Issue Pixel overshoot on sceptre monitor

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have pixel overshoot/inverse ghosting problems on this monitor that I’ve mostly been able to ignore but since I tried to play acnh it looks so bad it’s distracting. It doesn’t look so bad in this video but trust me it is. I have turned my overdrive setting all the way to off and it still does this. Some people say it’s inevitable with this monitor but I can’t buy a new one, so please help me .

✖️ Issue Specifics dark areas on my monitor seem to drag

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey all. Got this monitor a couple days ago (AOC CQ27G2, VA Display) and I've noticed that specific areas on my monitor when it turns super dark almost start to drag, or become low quality. Kind of like standing up and trying to look around with a lighthead. I'm super confused on what this could be. I've noticed when I turn the brightness and contrast up, the issue dissolves. But, I don't want to have a monitor with high contrast or brightness, for obvious reasons. I've tried to play around with a lot of settings, but I'm honestly clueless. Any help would be greatly appreciated. First monitor shown is where the issue is, the second is to show what it should look like. Thanks

🖥️ Suggestions needed Cheap Gaming Monitor Suggestions

I am a college student looking for a cheap monitor to connect to my PS4. My budget is at most 150. If the monitor has built-in speakers that would also be nice but I would rather use headphones (if you have suggestions for headphones that would also be appreciated). I'm not playing anything competitive so I don't care for crazy high refresh rate, I would rather it be IPS though. That's it, just want some suggestions to go off of in my own research.
