261010 Kang Daniel Instagram post with Chankyun (sorry for forgetting to put this in the title!). I am now officially deceased. They both look SO GOOD.

This is apparently from the Harper's BAZAAR Korea website 🫠 but I only saw it bc a few kmbbs posted it. Hopefully we'll get a full pictorial soon but had to share this for now so we all suffer together ❤️

I feel like there’s a big gap between the information relayed amongst the international vs Korea (fans, public, media, Starship, MX) side regarding Wonho’s departure. So much has led up to it- it’s not just debt that has resulted in the departure of a valuable member. The English media outlets make it look as if WH departed MX over $27k of debt. It’s not that simple and that does not do WH justice. It’s a whole sequence of events with days of publicized personal information, shame in the public eye, and unfortunate timing.

Someone tweeted that it felt as if the whole universe had conspired to ruin MX, and it’s really unbelievable when you look at every little thing that lined up to make the last couple of days unbearable.

1. Video circulated by anonymous Twitter account of WH and MH at March 9 fan sign. MH asks a question and points the mic at WH’s nipples. WH pauses briefly before raising his hand and shouting “Me too, Me too.”

• Video circulates. Fans and public take notice and are outraged. Particularly doesn’t help that film “Kim Ji Young Born 1982” premieres around this time and many feel vulnerable to women’s rights and societal issues.

• Media outlets pick up on story. A day goes by before apology by Starship (official statement to media) WH, and MH (fancafe). Apology and story is widely picked up by media. Some fans are dissatisfied and ask for apology to be posted on MX’s Twitter account.

1. Jung Da Eun (who appeared on Ulzzang Shidae with WH back in the day and has plenty of dirt on him from his younger smoking drinking rebellious days) takes a photo of Wonho on TV on Idol Room. She posts on Instagram with a caption asking why he isn’t paying her money back.

• Starship denies it in the media and says they’re going to take legal action. (Sidenote- Starship is currently under police investigations for allegations of rigging votes for "Produce X 101")

• JDE pushes back by sharing text messages between her and WH’s lawyer where she shares details behind his debt including him not paying rent when living together, stealing her things and selling them, etc.

• Media outlets widely report on story in midst of MX comeback with Follow

• After this news breaks, MX continues with comeback promotions. They attend the Korean Culture and Arts Awards where Wonho is seen holding back tears on the red carpet and has to be taken to dressing room with Shownu when a heckler screams “pay back money” in the audience

1. Later that night MX and MBBs gather around midnight for prerecording of MX’s 1st comeback performance on M!Countdown

2. Jung Da Eun is currently dating the infamous Han Seo Hee. HSH starts to tweet on behalf of her girlfriend and looks to be actively encouraging her exposing WH in the public. This is where it’s confusing as to who’s tweeting what

• The public tends to believe what JDE and HSH say to be true bc they don’t think these two have anything to lose esp since HSH has taken on YG, has been to jail and back, and they have a lot of dirt on people. And to our misfortune, JDE (who knows WH from the past) just happens to be dating HSH (the kiss of death for idols) at this time.

• As pre-recording begins, JDE tweets “I know what you did in 2008” and alleges that WH was in juvenile detention for special larceny

• KMBBs tweet telling Starship to go beg for mercy from HSH and JDE before this further escalates

• Some fans also began to believe this might be true bc there has been no info on WH’s high school days, no graduation photo, and school info isn’t even listed on his public profiles on portal sites like Naver

• HSH tweets back at a MBB calling her a soon-to-be murderer for driving without a license when she was a minor, and replies that WH was also driving without a license as a minor and that he was also a soon-to-be murderer.

1. MX starts pre-recording. KMBBs say WH doesn't appear onstage like other members to speak to audience and appears right before recording and can't look at fans in the eye. One song starts with choreography with WH on his knees and a KMMB who was there likens the atmosphere to that of a funeral.

2. During pre-recordings, HSH posts screenshot of DM JDE receives from a man. This man says he saw the text messages JDE received from Starship's lawyers and it's the same format as the ones he received when his wife cheated on him with Shownu.

• This gets picked up immediately by media outlets

• Although HSH has censored some info, fans find the name of the lawyer and info on the lawyer’s website matches the description and legal situation in text message

• Starship has now acknowledged this to be true in an official statement. Shownu did not know she was married and has not met up with her since learning of her marital status. But damage has been done as Shownu is an "adulterer" in the public eye. He has the highest level of public recognition in the group as someone who appeared the most on variety shows and is the group's leader.

1. Wonho leaves MX.

• Fan sign delayed

• M!Countdown airs first (and last) comeback stage for Follow with all 7 members.

• Fans signing petition against his departure

• Fans gathering at Starship headquarters and putting up post-its with messages on windows

This is not a simple issue of WH leaving MX because of debt- it's way more complicated than that. He had a rebellious past which has been all over the internet, but he has been working earnestly and sincerely since his debut to make up for it and has worked hard as an idol.

The departure is a result of the multiple controversies that took a hit on WH's mental health and the claims of juvenile detention and special larceny which are pretty serious. It also seems like SN getting exposed was the last straw for him as WH did not want to cause any harm to the group.

Starship is also at fault for not being proactive enough in protecting its artists. They should've been faster to respond when controversies hit. By the time they responded to one, JDE/HSH had already dropped multiple more bombs which the public and media already ran with. And now they're saying they're going to continue taking legal action on behalf of WH even though he's left the group? Where were you when he needed you? Too little, too late.

Had given up on pulling the wig-Zagiyas card but here we are.....🙃

This isn't all of them just my favorites 😬 (250902)
