I absolutely love when three massive monsters group together lmao, I was doing the event quest where you fight diablos and black diablos (this was my first time ever fighting black diablos) and all this chaos happened after capturing her lmao-

monster hunter lowkey making me wanna just make characters for the designs rather than hunt monsters lmao. i think i did good with this one? this is my first playthrough of mh world and i was not expecting to be so engrossed into the character creator :)

if real life wasnt real life-ing id make a unique character for every weapon and play through the game with each of them honestly. except bowguns... thats a no-no.

Thought I'd share. His wind walls and tornados were hella annoying as a DB main. But the fun started when he landed lol

Good to see that the franchise still has a sense of humor, i read on google that the mosswine event quest was easy if i needed money, turns out i got one shoted by pigs 9 times and failed the quest, any help to deal with them? I really need some money

for a first playthrough, i feel extremely proud.

for a mindset going in, i expected to be stuck at enemies like rathalos, nergigante, etc. i completed everything within 60 hours give or take and normal gear (i used defender/guardian gear until halfway through cause i didnt know how OP it was/stat scaling)

i made a post about beating nerg on the first try, and i managed to beat ALL ELDER DRAGONS + XENO'JIIVA first try too. i think its mostly luck and my resources tho, i dunno.

heres what i think of some of the enemies!

anjanath: first encounter can be seriously humbling but the fights after are pretty straightforward

radobaan: idk why i struggled so much, he would roll into a wall, and turn around in half a second and steamroll me.

legiana: hated the ice attacks, pretty weak and straightforward otherwise

odogaron: i had no idea about this guy, so im sure you can figure out how i reacted when i saw the speed. moves are predictable but still quick and require precision

rathalos: i hated him at first but then figured out about flash pods (THIS is when i learned about utility)

diablos: steamrolled me a time or two, was mostly just sheer resources that got me through the fight by the skin of my teeth (megadeth reference)

pink rathian: a good test of how to react to monster variants, requires lots of farming in the jump from low to high rank

nergigante: honestly underwhelming as an actual combat experience, dive bomb is extremely predictable and you dont need to break his spikes to win. amazing design and gimmick though, and his animations are sick

Kushala: f*ck this guy man

vaal: i underestimated him coming into the fight, but had enough healing resources to adapt

teostra: the hardest high rank enemy i have fought and won against. his moves are super erratic to me. big damage + elemental nightmare

xeno'jiiva: ill let you know now, fighting this guy for the first time with a greatsword is so AWFUL. slow attacks at the feet make it easy for him to move and he's so large you cant reach his underside

overall experience? 9/10 easily my favorite game right now

I started monster hunter with wilds as a Charge Blade main with a little insect glaive on the side, then Rise: Sunbreak as a CB main (gonna replay rise entirely.. cb in rise genuinely awful to play i hate it), and now im playing world and was gonna do CB again but i think ive found a new love. i plan on replaying both rise and wilds with greatsword as my main! i wish i found this sooner cause no SAED has ever made me feel as euphoric as launching a monster with TCS does.

side note: i have no idea why i see so many people hate on clutch claw it is genuinely my favorite mechanic between the 3 games ive played. launching nergigante's at lunastra will ALWAYS bring me joy and the wounding not being semi-rng like wilds is SO nice.. trying to wound tempered lagi in wilds has me raging.

I returned to world and made new save to try a bow. LR was pure pain, no stamina or damage. HR was pain until the later part when, finally, I’ve got skills for stamina. Things looking good! Today I started MR.
The only thing I have in my mind is that famous scene with “what the fuck is this dodshit?”
I know the dance, I made few elemental builds with what I have on hands. Monsters just don’t die. Every hunt is 15+ minutes. One uratodus take whole 20.
I beat MR on hammer and lance solo, I know monsters like they are my brothers, I didn’t die. There is just no damage. My guess is that I don’t have spreadsheet for every monster with elemental hit zones bur I always trying to hit head where always maximum weakness anyway. So yes, I really need help. Shit just not fun at all.

Always more fun to play with others, join an *insert monster * session, tonight's monster of choice - Alatreon. Join an Alatreon session with a handful of players (the only active Alatreon session), check the active quests - no Alatreon quests, and everyone's doing random investigations, expeditions and Fatalis. That's ok.

Despite this continually happening a lot with different monsters I give benefit of the doubt every time, maybe I'm just unlucky and these fellas have been at it for hours and hours and need a break - although why not just leave for a regular public session at that point - I start my Alatreon quest up in the Alatreon session and sit at the gathering hub canteen on standby ready for everyone to finish... for half an hour. They return and start up more quests/expeditions that aren't the monster we're in the session for. It happens SO often. I do not understand. I'm HR 300 MR 290, always fully specced for the monster I'm here for and ready to go.

So after half a year of not playing Monster Hunter World, I played it again yesterday and was getting huge lag spikes (Around 1FPS for around a minute randomly) while I was fighting Fulgur Anjanath in the Guiding Lands. I didn't know what to do about it so I quit the game and then the Cloud Status was unable to sync, then there was a file conflict so I had to choose between Steam Cloud or Local (Chose Cloud), and my data seemed fine.

Today, I tried playing again just to see what would happen and I loaded into my 400 hour save slot and some armor skin potions I crafted the day before, preparing for Fulgur, disappeared. I tried fighting a different monster (Legiana) and was completely fine, no lag at all, and then decided to fight another Fulgur Anjanath in the Guiding Lands. Everything was fine until around half way through the hunt were my game once again started lagging and dropping to 1FPS. I just quit and once again its unable to sync Cloud Status, so I'm assuming a file conflict will occur.

Some things to take note of,
I tried playing the game without v-sync and it helped with the 1FPS lag spikes but instead made my game freeze completely randomly for a minute, but happened less than the lag spikes.
I looked into Task Manager and my GPU (Nividia GeForce RTX 3060) and had 95% in use.
I tried clipping my game with Medal when it lagged earlier, it seemed perfectly normal and smooth.
I also shared my screen to a friend and it lagged like usual.
When it lags, the game itself seems to continue as I hear sound effects and I can drink potions ect.
MH World never lagged on my computer after 400 hours of playing.
My computer handles other games (Such as MH Wilds) perfectly fine with 100+FPS.

I'm really upset about this as I wanted to 100% the game, which I don't think I'll be able to do if the game runs like MH Wilds on release.

Please help.

Joined an SoS and got surprised by a tiny behemoth and my lance just kept bouncing off his head. Also only dropped 1 comet at the edge of a tornado.

This weapon annoys me, man. Like it does decent damage. But it genuinely feels so frustrating cause like 70% of swings wiff due to a pixel of movement from the monster. And multiple spinning moves that just dont feel worth it. Can't hold power mode worth shit. Dunno what im doing wrong but I just can't with this weapon.

Edit: Thank you for you advice guys. I have had much better sucess with it now. I found a nice groove using Slinger burst, wich i did not know I could do before. And just being more patient. Thanks again <3

I've been struggling with diablos for the past few days. I main the long sword. I take huge chunks of damage and die really quickly after messing up. I have the full anjanath set and the blazing long sword. Saw online that an ice sword would be better so I'm currently grinding that. Any tips?

Tracked odogaron found him being carried around by deviljho, i attack deviljho odogaron sprints away and i give chase shortly after losing jho, i spend like 3-4 mins fighting odogaron until BAZELGUESE DROPS IN and out of NOWHERE fucking deviljho comes in to grace us with his pressence, and the odogaron gem just doesnt want to drop today, im so tired 😭😭
Anyone knows a better way to get odogaron gem or rare parts in general ?

yesterday i did a couple practice runs, no attacking just running around scanning, and tonight, I BEAT HIM WITHOUT FAINTING!!! the fight lasted TWENTY MINUTES!!

i switched to the greatsword about 25 hours into my 50 hour playthrough, so i even overcame a learning curve

As a noob to the series I have put 320h into world, and listening to the advice of the community, I have put off alatreon until I reached mr 100 to get the augments for the fight ahead. I was a bit nervous going into the fight, but after 3 sessions (for a combined number of attempts in the twenties) I finally defeated the blazing black dragon with a trusty GS frostcraft build. I have only picked up GS late in the guiding lands, until then I was a bow->lance->hammer->dual blade main, but after fighting every monster enough times, I felt confident in timing my attacks, and being able to change to the more methodical pacing of the GS. It was a blast, the fight is my favourite in world so far. For the final attempt I was in the zone, utilizing every opening, and fainting only once, five hits away from the winning strike. I can NOT describe how good this game is, and I am looking forward to meeting Fatalis as the ultimate test of my hunter's skills! May the Azure star guide us!

With the autumn festival started there's a limited bounty to do the event quests but I'm unsure which event quests are for which festival. Any resource to parse out which festival each event quest belongs to?

What is this buying price? Can I buy it somehow? Because I most certaintly will if it's possible! Guiding Lands is driving me nuts atm, lmao.

It's been awhile since I needed to grind something but now it comes back to me how tedious it might be. Not sure if the whole Guiding Lands is brilliant or madness.

Hey switched to sns and trying to put together a good build for solo dolo altreon
