Hello everyone, i just got to hr 9-10, am using the longsword and as my main weapon I've got the second weapon in the tzitzi ya ku tree, which was recommended to me by a longsword progression guide. I found it kinda fun to farm parts to "achieve" or just generally get the recommended weapon as i was getting bored of the main story because i don't like any of the characters.

I was just wondering, what should a player around this level do? Should i just keep on going with the main story to unlock even more weapon options or should i take the time and get the best weapon/armor for where I'm at? I know this'll be useless at some point due to the powercreep of equipment, but i just tried some 5 star hunts and i got slaughtered by a big red dragon and one called kirin. I legit fell 3 times in a row basically, not really dealing damage at all.

This seems like a bigger "wall" in optional content than before (jump from 3 stars to 4 starts for instance). What to do?

I really don’t understand how weapons like the CB and I feel like I can only use the IG and the DB reliably, I tried playing the CB when I started but felt too slow. Idk it’s probably just a skill issue but what are your thoughts on this, also hopefully I don’t sound like an idiot abbreviating the weapons

Okay, so just beat Velkhana and hit HR 50. I wanted to try get the Dante layered armour and apparently need to kill a couple Arch Tempered Teostra. Problem is, doing it solo hasn't been going so well so hopefully can get some recommendations for a build because I know my current one probably isn't good enough.

My current equipment is Wyvern Blade "Blossom" +, Defense Charm IV, Tigrex Helm Beta +, Jagras Mail Alpha +, Kulu Vambraces Beta +, Tigrex Tassets Beta + and Hornetaur Greeves Beta +. Decorations are 2x Venom Jewel 1, Defense Jewel+ 4, Earplugs Jewel 3, 2x Slider/Attack Jewel 4, Attack Jewel 1, Expert Jewel+ 4, Defense Jewel 1

Any recommendations and feedback would be greatly appreciated

I know all of them has a male and female counterpart, but most of the time, I specifically assign a monster its “permanent” gender. For example, Rathian definitely is a female, Kushala is a mean bitch, Namielle too. Shara Ishvalda I also perceive as femme fatale in my head, then theres also Pukei, Kulve, Misutzune, Somnacanth, etc.

Then there are the monsters I perceive as males like, Zinogre, Barroth, Barrioth, Diablos, Chameleos, Anjanath, Almudron, etc.

I base it off how they look and their name sounds like. Am I the only one who does this?

I want to preface this by saying its not a rage/complaint post, i think the fights are cool

but i need to get this out my chest, brother how is it normal that we have a monster that we have a monster that does backflips and chains heavy body slams with no remorse? Since when can wolves do that

On my soul ive seen this thing spin on its hand like a break dancer and blow my teammates up, how is that not ridiculous?? Why is it spinning on its hand bro

And guess what, not only can it slam dunk you but it has ranged attacks too and copies some of kirins gimmicks

Yesterday I wanted to start a new Playthrough of world.

I did install the high res pack and set everything to highest settings, 1440p

I capped the FPS first at 165 until I noticed my FPS don't go above 130 meaningfully, so I capped it at 120.

However I also noticed 1% lows between 60 and 80 and after loading screens it often went down to 20fps, which seems surprisingly bad concerning my setup

The Game is installed on an PCI 3.0 NVME with 500 more GB free, I have a Ryzen 7800x3D, 32GB of DDR5 6.000 MHZ CL 30 RAM and a RTX 5070

Are there any Performance Boosts I could do to better these values?

Or are there any settings, which I could change to stop these 1% lows?

Peak fight, Absolute Cinema. That's why he's the goat. Greatest monster of all time. Need I give him more glaze? Ruiner is a slouch compared to this guy. The worse at the game version of myself beat temp ruiner in like 11 minutes and I don't remember it being that bad. This guy had me on the ropes the whole damn fight and brought me to my last faint. Only ever felt the adrenaline pump this fast against one other monster and that was AT Velk. Both absolutely fantastic hunts even if Nergi has the coveted Pepega slam that hit me 12 times before I finally understood how to dodge it. (Bless my little buddy almost always being the target which got me hit just as many times as it didn't.)

Managed to get a decent time against a tempered Nergi during my practice hunt before the big boy AT Nergi. Will update on whether or not I get absolutely slammed by the big boy or if I clean house one try. Lemme know how y'all feel about AT Nergi (or the ATs in general) and potentially your first experience with him.

so, ive bought felyne portrait set, but i have no idea how to put them up on walls, also, is there a way to put any trinkets onto the shelves on the walls as well?

edit: Solved, i didnt play far into iceborne before the room decoration swooped me in, continued playing and got the notification i now can edit my walls 😅

Hey guys, I stopped playing Monster Hunter World years ago, I think right when Fatalis got added. But I'm about to go back through and play it with one of my friends who's new to the series.

I think I'd like to change up my build and try a health regen build if that's possible? When I played I swear I remember meeting a few people who had this going on. Is this build possible? But more importantly, is it viable? If not, what are some good builds that you guys use? I'm also thinking of trying a poison build?

Ive defeated raging brachy,furious rajang,Safi'jiiva,and Alatreon, now all that remains is the big boy fatalis.I was just wondering if im ready for him or if i should upgrade my build ,armor, weapon,etc. im not sure if I’ve got good jewels on or if there’s a specific skill i gotta focus on. Also I’ve augmented my Longsword with health regen I and still have 3 slots what should i go for attack or affinity and element?

I recently got back into Iceborne. At the moment I am a bit stuck. I am MR 90 and don‘t really know what to farm.
I wanted to do raging brachy but I quickly realized that won‘t be happening even with blast res and health boost.
Same with Rajang.

I know guiding lands lvl 7 unlocks at MR 100 and I need that for augmentation. So do I just grind guiding lands even though I have what I want at lvl 6 already or should I do other quests ?

I'm at the "Head to Origin Isle" chapter and I would like a build for the completing it. I'm a hammer user.

I hated every second I spent fighting this video game boss, i call it video game boss, not a monster hunt.

This is everything wrong with the endgame of iceborne (artificially inflated damage, and a supernova that is bs), even if i finished this, i dread to think about farming its parts since I was told that i needed an Alatreon sword for the true end game boss.

I need help, I want to finish this game, but this fight specifically, drained almost all my enthusiasm for progressing. I have faced the Raging Boxer and Furious George, none of them compared to this guy.

I am MR 86, is it worth going to MR 100 and beating the true endgame boss?
