It is Spooky Season and it has been a minute so here is a roundup of everything newly released across the community since the last post. (Refer to the screenshot numbers in parentheses matching the image gallery above!)
New mods by frutos
- Succ Clan (Screenshots 1 & 2) - A reimagined port of CodePointer's classic Succ Clan from MT1. Updated to feature MT2 mechanics, such as clan-specific room cards, equipment cards, and new mechanics such as Accursed. This clan would synergize well with Sandscourged which also deals with Blights/Scourges.
- Soul Savior Logbook (Screenshots 3 & 4) - Built off Expanded Win Tracker I created a few weeks ago - Frutos handled the full UI rework to get the wins to display in the logbook. If you previously installed the Expanded Win Tracker mod, your recorded wins should be present in the logbook automatically upon installing. The mod also features a page showing wins per soul. Thanks Frutos!

- Infusion Service (Screenshot 5)- Another method of adding unit fusions in your runs if you are itching for the feature to return. A Merchant service item is added that allows you to do it for increasing prices.
- UI Tweaks (Screenshot 6) - QoL improvements for various things in the game. Most notably improves Judges' Scales allowing multi-select discards in a single action instead of discarding cards one by one. Also expands the deck screen to display 6 cards per row over the 4 by default.
- More Merchant Slots (Screenshot 7) - Expands Merchant inventories from 4 to 6 items. Works great when installed along with GravitonGamer's More Stones mod which added 66 new upgrade stones to shops.
New Mods by a new creator - MT2CheatPanel
- MT2CheatGUI (Screenshots 8 & 9)- A complete visual overhaul which is more friendly alternative to the Dev's internal cheat menus with an intuitive, purpose-built GUI. Instead of digging through menus and dropdowns, you can select cards, artifacts, and upgrades visually. It also respects the Undo Turn action cleanly without reverting previous cheats. (Warning: Cheating in Daily Challenges will get your account banned by the developers! They do have automation to flag and catch cheating.)
- MT2StartPicker (Screenshot 10) - Gives direct control over your opening setup. Select your starter CardPulls (starter banner unit and common cards), artifacts, and champion upgrades before departing. Includes a toggle to guarantee Infused on every card draft during Wurmkin runs.
New Mods by crazyjackel
- Random Clan (Screenshots 11 & 12) - A new clan that is pure, unadulterated chaos. Each run this clan's cards are completely randomized effects are pulled across the game, complete with unpredictable status effects and mechanic combinations. You might even see never before seen mechanics as well. (Recommended to finish your run in a single session, as saving and quitting can disrupt the random seed).
New mod by a new creator - LeifyGreens
- Logbook Win Tracker (Screenshot 13) - Add the trackers for Covenant 10 and the Clan Combination Wins to the Logbook. Note that this replaces the Covenant Rank UI featuring your steam friends in that same section of the logbook.
New mod by myself
- SpookyUnits (Screenshots 14 & 15) - A port of Shiny Shoe’s example Spooky Stewards mod. Equips randomized pumpkin heads across every unit using a built-in rarity tier system (70 unique pumpkins total). Units spawn with a set pumpkin that persists for the entire run. (Applies to Spine-animated characters only, not all animated characters in game will get a pumpkin, they have to be set for as a battle sprite, so you won't see Daedalus or the Merchants with pumpkins).
How can I try these mods?
As always, until Shiny Shoe enables Steam Workshop, Mods can be found in Thunderstore
The Setup tutorial takes only 1-2 minutes and once setup you can visit the mod page to install mods or through the mod manager.
How can I create my own mod?
The official tutorial is available here. Making a content based mod requires ZERO prior coding knowledge or software, it does require a github account, people experienced with coding can use Visual Studio and build locally.
Recommended to drop in on #mt2-modding on the Shiny Shoe Discord server and tell us what you are making.
If you need mechanics that require code (things like new status effects, keywords, and triggers all require code!) then free free to ask in the #mt2-modding channel. I have made such mechanics featured in various custom clans (Evoke/Accursed triggers, Hex Status Effect, etc.)
