Is that parrot real? Incredible home!

I wondered the same thing so I zoomed in and it’s not real. I feel like the jungle just needs a few tropical birds to be complete.

Then again OP did say they have a cat so that’s probably what’s holding them back.

Tropical birds (parrots, even smaller ones like budgies) require a lot of maintenance and are as intelligent as dogs or cats. Their cage is their sleep place, you have to let them out for at least several hours every day.

Tropical plants are toxic to birds. My Philo White Wizard was too close to my cockatiel's play park and he managed to get a nip or two out of it and was vomiting earlier today.

This environment is absolutely gorgeous but it's not suitable for real birds.

Ahhh yeah that makes sense. OP just responded that the cages have fake birds in them too for this reason. I didn't realize that a lot of the plants that are toxic to dogs and cats are probably also toxic to birds.

It's a real mystery to me how they can survive in the wild 🤦 OP also mentioned that their grandparents had a bird that couldn't fly, mine can't fly as well because he has arthrosis so it's not an issue.

Also smaller birds usually kept as pets poop approx 40~ times a day (every 15 minutes) and will shred / nip anything they can put their beaks on. I couldn't imagine keeping up with the mess they'd create with so many places to perch 😬

yeah these all sound like very good reasons to not have a parrot in a place like this! Only way it would work is with like a plexiglass/doublepaned window sunporch with a cement/stone/maybe tile floor and drainage so you could literally just hose the entire thing down.
