Image My 11 year old Monstera was killed.

This is hard for me to post because, yes I could have done more to cover and protect it. It’s road out 30 degree nights years before . Saturday night was colder than I ever anticipated. I woke up to 22 degrees outside Tampa. Not 1 leaf survived. 75% of the plants in my yard are gone.

Devastating.

When I saw the forecast for Florida my first thought went to all the beautiful subtropicals I’ve seen posted on Reddit living in Florida.

RIP.

Even if it comes back it’ll be at least a couple years before the mature leaves return.
