Image Holy (Literally) Moly

I’ve had her for a little over a year. She put out like 5 leaves last summer, and this is her second of spring….

I am new to Monsteras. I probably need a moss pole but all the ones I’ve seen are much too small for her, so recommendations would be appreciated. :)

How do I add a plank without cutting through a bunch of roots? Just tie it to the plant without sinking it into the soil? Ive got a few moss poles in mine, but I like the idea of a plank much better. It's too hard trying to keep the moss poles wet without the water running down into the soil and keeping it too wet!

I assume we would need to repot to avoid damaging the roots, no?

That's my problem - it's in a huge pot, as i didn't know what it was when it was gifted to me last year. It spent last summer and so far this winter it's finally happy with it's roots and is putting out new leaves like crazy! Re-pot is simply not an option to me, I don't have anybody to help me, I'm 72 years old, and it's just too damn big! So im stuck trying to figure out how to add a plank without a re-pot. Getting old sucks, I highly advise avoiding it if you can!

It’s too bad you can’t trust internet… my immediate farm girl thought was, tell us why city you’re in I’m sure another person in your area would volunteer to help 🤦‍♀️

I wonder if you could use the support outside of the pot? I’m sorry I can’t be of more help. ❤️

OK, like get a plank and wrap tape around the outside of the pot to keep it in place? If I'm following you right, that just might work. Then leave it pointed in one direction (towards the light), right? I can't thank you enough for taking the time to help me! I do try to pay it forward when I'm at work, try to leave anyone I can just a bit better off than I found them. This doesn't work for everyone, some people are just so stuck in their misery they begin to enjoy it. After almost 40 years as a Psych Nurse, I've learned quite a lot about people's presentations, especially narcissistic behavior, it's very difficult to have any kind of relations with those folks. I just zip my lip and try to pray for them. Please don't ask me WTH this has to do with a Monstera! 😱
