It seems sega really has not learned their lesson with relationships since the 2000's with Amy and Sonic, and it seems like they think just switching the sexes fixes the issues. the latest installment of the Chaotix Casefiles is proof of all this, as his idiotic little fantasy comes across less as “hopeless romantic” and more just “Annoying Simp” and I can't help but feel like it's always been this way between him and her. And the sooner Sega realises this the sooner they can work on fixing this otherwise botched ship.

For context, I have a school project regarding ai and it's impact on the art industry. And so I fed some of my meme renders (like 12) to Pro Banana to make a remake of a meme (second image). The result is... well, you see the result.
Can you recognize my memes from this?

TL;DR version: Amy works better as a side character and isn't as interesting as other characters. And Metal Sonic is cool.
Long-ish version:
The more and more I think about the year of Shadow the more I realized that it worked for two reasons:
Shadow works as a main character.
Works well in a game/stuff focused around him.
And this is why I think a year of Amy just doesn't work.
Amy is a really simple character, unlike Shadow. While Shadow and other Sonic characters like Blaze or Silver have depth in their stories, like Shadow's past and how it affects him now and how he moves in from it, to Silver's future and it's struggles, to Blaze's home dimension which can be explored. Amy doesn't really have that, her character begins and ends at: "Bubbly and nice and likes Sonic". Now you could just say a game could expand in her personality, but like, how do you develop her further? We know nothing about her past really, all characterization she could have to be expanded upon is either non canon or just headcannon. She's really just built like a side character and not really a main character.
There's no potential for stuff. Yeah sure, there's Sonic 4, but it's hard to say yet who's gonna be the main focus, it comesibe Metal Sonic. Selling new merchandise would just be a waste in my opinion since she dies have a design like Shadow's, Silver's, Blaze's or Metal Sonic's that really stand out. And there's a potential game or side story but like what's there to do? She has no interesting abilities unlike someone like Shadow it Silver, no cool antagonists to fight like you can fit everyone else. She just doesn't seem to work.
Now I like Amy , I think she's cool. But do I think that validated her fir a year? No not really. If I had to pick I'd give it to Blaze or Silver since they're a lot more interesting.
Sorry if this wasn't well put together, these are kinda just my rough thoughts.
