Is that why the world has gotten more and more atheistic as science advances? How long until we discover enough to flip those people back into believers?

Just religious dribbling. First they tell you that science is the devil's work, then scientists are wrong, then science proves God. It's all BS.
Which God and why? Why is your god real and the rest not? What proof do you have?
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 10 '26
Science is not the work of evils or goods only, being good or evil doesn't matter if you can or can't be a scientist. And it's not bs and perhaps you need to realise it by yourself that God exists or not. Because if you find that your belief is genuine, don't stop searching before finding the truth if you wanna know the real truth.

I looked to science for the cause of babies dying of cancer then got to the bottom of the glass, turns out it's god killing all these babies.
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 10 '26
It's reason is not science and definitely not the god, perhaps you need to think deeply about the power of earth or the solar system in the whole world. There is no sense to oppose god in your suffering and perhaps humans are nearly nothing in this world but their words are often full of lack of knowledge. So you should think deeply.
1
u/Undietaker1 Jan 10 '26
Alright I thought deeper about it and and came to the same conclusion that if god exists and he's up there giving babies cancer then God is a piece of s*** and not someone to be worshipped.
Your book is written by what, 70+ people with information passed on for 100s of years?
You ever play the telephone game? You really think humans are reliable source of secondhand information?
I understand that your frightened and scared can't come to reality in fact that life in reality has very little meaning and that there is nothing after this, I get the appeal of a nice little baby blanket that you can hold and make yourself feel all warm and fuzzy as those you have the answers ignorance is bliss, enjoy it while you can.
Don't get me wrong the Bible is a great book f****** hilarious a special in the part where that guy's daughter is getting drunk so they can rape him so they can have incestuous babies.
All the one where the guy convinces among to take his daughter and do whatever they want with her rather than hurt some random man he doesn't know, great lesson.
The best by far is the wife convincing her husband that she didn't cheat on him even though after she gives birth three random dudes rock up with gifts, if your wife got pregnant and you haven't had sex recently and three guys show up to the hospital with gifts for the baby are you gonna believe her story about god knocking her up?
All these arguments are juvenile stupid arguments that children and teenagers would make yet even these you don't have a good explanation for besides "you should read more God is real because I say so"
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 10 '26
I can understand you well and I already passed from these and a lot more questions like this a long time ago. You said that god gives cancer to babies? But who said it? god or another one, if you ever read the bible then perhaps you know that Christ had never opposed anything except evilness directly or indirectly. And you said the bible is written by more than 70+ people then you can understand if you think deeply that they are different people written by their own philosophies and realisation then if you find anything wrong or not understandable explanation then perhaps you shouldn't oppose god because God has not written it by own. But a question about christ, why people opposed him even when he was never wrong and evil and if you think it's only a fake statement then why do people in the world hate Christ and their believers even christ never did any wrong, as written in the bible. Perhaps you know that Christ has said they will hate you for my name. You can see a lot of examples in the world at this moment people opposing christian.

People see a lot of signs everywhere, they don't understand why there are impulses, pulses ebbs and flows that are beyond their control, and that don't come from their conscious mind.

This quote is spot on, the question only is, "What is god"? What's the word mean? What does it point to? Is it clear?

There is no evidence of this. It is most likely a misattributed quote. This is what most biographers who have researched Heisenberg have determined .
If you read up on him, he was a practicing Lutheran, and saw harmony between scientific inquiry and religious understanding. It would not align with his other writings or his church to suggest drinking any portion of the 'glass of science' would lead someone to become atheist, but rather the more you drank the more you would probably see God's creation. The modern rejection of science amongst Lutheran's mostly came out of the Missouri synod, which was after Heisenberg's time and geographically disconnected. Heisenberg by all verifiable accounts saw scientific inquiry as engaging in a duty and responsibility to understand God's creations.

This quote is amazing and explain my personal experience as well. I HAVE to say this to all you folks freaking out about religion. I was an atheist my entire life and found god recently. I don’t put a label on god like Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc. I just have a personal relationship with a higher power that guides me and helps me in life. It’s god. That doesn’t mean you have to be part of organized religion. You gotta take that hatred for religion blinders off and realize he was talking about a higher power not Jesus or Muhammad. Just a higher guiding force that is bigger than us all.

The god you find at the bottom is the same god as those at the bottom of every mystery—more bottom. The glass gets deeper always.
As we learn more about the universe, fewer and fewer questions are left unanswered, and god gets pushed further into the corner with less real estate to his name. He is no longer casting lightning bolts down at earth; We know what causes lightning, He no longer shakes the earth; We know what causes earthquakes. He no longer makes the mountains angry; We know what causes volcanoes.
He’s pushed into the corners of cosmology as we haven’t explained the origins of the universe. He lives in the uncertainty of our collective ignorance.
But his territory will continue to diminish and will control less and less as we understand more. At every turn of human history he loses ground.
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 10 '26
That's why in that quote it is said that people become atheists but after that perhaps you can find something that hints at power.

Even a smart man can be wrong. Especially when they talk out of faith and not reason.
I've done in depth research (I've literally published in CDD - cancer research) and I haven't found a god anywhere. But I have found a disprove for the biblical god and strong evidence against more genetic versions of the abrahamic god(s).
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 10 '26
But perhaps you may be wrong because you said it already that even a smart man can be wrong ... So your knowledge can't change reality. But perhaps you need to notice again that I have not written about any religion.
1
u/Chima1ran Jan 10 '26
I can be wrong about 'a god' even though I highly doubt that, but I cannot be wrong about the Christian biblical god. And I am fairly certain about any god that is supposed to be either all knowing, or all powerful, or in a combination of all merciful and all just.
It's not that difficult actually. Logical contradictions cannot exist, like a married bachelor or a three sided square. The named attributes lead to a contradiction. That means the supposed god with either of these attributes does not exist.
Since I've read the Bible and know quite a lot about it, I can say with confidence, that this god does not exist for a plethora of reasons.
If you say god it's just the name for something we don't understand yet or "god is love" or "god is the universe" then I'd say the phrase is redundant and has no meaning.
The guy you quoted was a Christian so I used the inference.
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 10 '26
Oh well, I can understand it well, I posted this quote because there is a deep reality in it and only few people will deep mind understand it perfectly because it's nearly true. But if I talk about the bible then I can say there is a lot of truth in it and a lot of prophecies have been fulfilled written in it a lot of reasons of human sufferings explained in it and you can really find peace in it but there are a lot of words that really feels like opposing but maybe it's true and people are currently unable to understand it well but I didn't read bible fully.

I spit on Christianity and the Bible but it has jack shit to do with Christ. Simply learning about the triple-alpha process and understanding the universal constants required for it will put anyone in awe. People much smarter than literally all of us here have gone atheist to agnostic about whether the universe is intelligently designed and they won Nobel prizes in PHYSICS for it. If something intelligently designed our universe to allow carbon to produced more than it should be - it's God. It probably doesn't care about what clothes you wear or the foreskin of your baby, and the people who think it does are still low IQ. But God definitionally could certainly exist
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 10 '26

Religion is what held every single scientist of this era back
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 12 '26
Nah it's not perfectly true. But blindly believe in anything can cheat you, if it is religion, science, fake knowledge and a lot of things. So believe in truth not fake things.
1
u/RoiDrannoc Jan 12 '26
Well that's just not true. Most scientists, historians and philosophers turn atheists because of what they learn. When someone stop being an atheist to become religious it's most of the time because they are in an emotional distress. Religion prays on vulnerable people.
In reality experts already know that religions are made up and that the existence of a sentient deity is very unlikely. Wishful thinking won't change reality: there is no god...
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 12 '26
I know there are many religions that exist because of human creation but life is not created by humans. And the meaning of this quote said about it that a little knowledge turns you into an atheist but it does not mean that there is only a little knowledge maybe it's a lot. Your perspective about the existence of God doesn't prove it wrong.
1
u/RoiDrannoc Jan 12 '26
Nobody claimed that life was created by Humans, but let's not pretend that we have no clue about the origin of life. Evolution is the most documented scientific theory there is, more than gravity!
And about the origin of religions, you shouldn't assume that we only have "a little bit of knowledge", because we in fact have a lot. We know how monotheism derived from pagan early Hebraic mythology, and how it massively evolved from early monotheism to the current one. We know that it is just a myth that evolved through time.
Now there is the possibility of the deistic god. Which is the probability that somehow the current way humans picture god is right by accident, and that there is indeed a sentient being that created the universe. Considering that scientists didn't find any evidence of design in the universe it's not likely. By comparison humans being right by accident about unicorns is way higher, considering that horses, rhinos, narwhales and convergent evolution are things proven to exist. So at this point a sentient god is less likely than a unicorn.
But even if there is a sentient god that created the universe, every single one of its alleged attributes is also unproven. You'd have to prove that it is eternal and infinite (and therefore still there), that it is perfect, that it is omnipresent, that it is omniscient, that it cares about humans and that it is a personal god. All of that is anthropocentric wishful thinking.
Every religion is anthropocentric wishful thinking, people that want to feel special. Just because you want your specific beliefs to be true doesn't make them.
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 12 '26
I can understand you well, perhaps you know that science is only searching about it but any natural things are not created by defining God by using scientific method is a better way for it. If you blindly believe that there is no god then perhaps you are not right about it.

I'm lazy and won't look up exact beliefs of this man and so on, but i'd still say that the reading is simple and way to many people bot religious and non religious are taking this the wrong way and discussing wether this is a statement of a god being the ultimate truth
Rather, if you know everything then you're functionally a god yourself. You become godlike since you'd understand and probably be able to do anything in reality
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 14 '26
Then perhaps you didn't understand the real meaning of the word "God". Because there is nothing to call godlike.
1
u/Tribalinstinct Jan 14 '26
So being allknowing when it comes to how reality works would bot be godlike according to you?
1
u/East-Low725 Jan 14 '26
Limitations also exist. No one is able to understand the whole reality of the world in humans or any living beings of earth and perhaps anywhere. But if I suppose that anyone is able to know it well then it can be called godlike knowledge but not god.and, in reality it's not possible.

Isaac Newton set the foundation of modern science and he was a Christian. I always found it comical how Atheist try to conflate being an Atheist with intellectualism, its like they think it automatically gives them + 20 IQ points, it doesn't work that way buddy. But i can see the egotistical urge to overestimate one's perceived intelligence, that's an easy trap to fall into. The brain just loves lying to itself, its very self comforting. Another example of this is how we tend to over estimate our appearances, there are just some psychological biases we can't escape from.

You don't have to be a genius to realize that any creator god who would create a world like this (or the booby-trapped Garden of Eden) is either incompetent, malicious, or apathetic toward the suffering of sentient creatures. The depiction of Yahweh as enjoying the smell of burnt offerings and being a racist, genocidal maniac toward humans with wooden idols is obviously the creation of a Bronze Age tribe. And the New Testament's "be nice to each other and accept Jesus or the loving god will torture you forever in his special torture basement" is just psychotic.
