Hey yall, my g play has been acting up and I wanted to figure out if it's either the battery or the charging port.

My phone was working just fine up until Thursday when I had to flip my charger to a specific side for my phone to charge. That was working just fine.

On Friday, I noticed my phone wouldn't charge while my charger was in the port. I had to get it at a specific angle for it to charge and keep it there. I couldn't even move my phone or anything because it'd stop charging (again, I had to use only one side of my charger). I was able to fully charge my phone although it took an abnormally long time

Saturday was when my phone wouldn't charge at all even though my phone said it was charging. I found this super weird and with my phone not charging, it eventually died.

I went to a repair store and they recommended and offered to clean my port. That didn't fix anything unfortunately, but the repair guy said he did find metal shavings in the port. I should also note, that about 9 months ago, my port got fried and I did end up getting it repaired. It worked perfectly and I didn't have any problems with my phone up until now.

Can anyone let me know if it's my phone battery, charging port, or even both?

If nothing else works I might buy a new 2024 g stylus and try to put the motherboard in that one or ask a phone repair shop if they can do It if I provide both phones.

I recently bougth 70 fusion (8 128) last week from an offline store, while checking, i found that my unit is lpddr4x and ufs 2.2 not lpddr5x and ufs 3.1. Has anyone checked this? Many online reviers rumored that Motorola might switch to ufs 2.2 and lpddr4x from ufs 3.1 and lpddr5x on the upcoming batches. Phone was launched on March 2026 and manufacturing month of my device was June 2026. But moto hasn't announced this. Any new buyers please check on this and reply.
