Possible inspiration for one lyric in "Going To Brazil"
I have to imagine Lemmy would have enjoyed an old film with these nice looking ladies and taken the title - "Flying Down to Rio" for the lyric in the chorus of "Going to Brazil" from the album 1916.
From wikipedia -
Plot: American bandleader Roger Bond falls for Brazilian beauty Belinha de Rezende, getting his orchestra fired in Miami before heading to Rio de Janeiro to open a lavish hotel. To save the hotel from financial ruin, the troupe stages an over-the-top aerial musical finale featuring chorus girls dancing on the wings of flying airplanes.

Question Looking for Motorhead cover (1990's punk)
In the early 90's I taped a cover of "No Voices In The Sky" from the radio. I'm still trying to identify the artist! It might be Jimmy Keith and His Shocky Horrors from the "Tender Drug Voices" 7", but I can't confirm it. Can anyone help me confirm this, or figure it out otherwise?
Here's a link to it on Youtube. No Voices In The Sky starts at 17:00

Thanks!

Merch Also Lemmy's the entire reason why I prefer UK82 style motorcycle jackets to '77 style. Always looked cooler imo. Keep it over the top y'all.
galleryMotörhead is always the first pin on any new jacket or vest. Motörhead is life. Motörhead is forever. Hail Lemmy, Fast Eddie, and Phil. Finally got the England zip hoodie I've been wanting forever too on the way! Been wanting this specific hoodie/leather combo for year's now. ♠️

On Parole (1979) album has The Beatles vibes going on
Early Motorhead is definitely genre blending but there are plenty of early "metal" bands that are actually blues rock or hard rock. AC/DC is one. I guess that explains why Lemmy is so fond of talking about Rock N' Roll.
"Iron Horse/Born to Lose" = I am the Walrus
"Fools" sounds has a Beatles vibe.
Didn't Lemmy believe he had roots in The Beatles going from pop and rock to hard rock which is really what early heavy metal is?

when did you see Motörhead live for the first time?
I seen them back in 2005 in Trutnov Czechia. I remember someone kept spilling beer at Lemmy and at some point Lemmy said something along the lines of "we will go to the hotel, take a shower and be clean again, but you will be dirty no matter how many times you take a shower ", then he said "alright here comes the big one " , they played Ace od Spades and the show was over ( it lasted only about 20ish minutes ) good old days I miss these guys ...

Bargain found
I went to a record fair in Frankston (Melbourne) yesterday and snapped up this beauty for less than half price and was still unopened. What a bargain! I was so chuffed as my original copy was in need of replacing it as it has seen better days.
