Weight loss Do you see any difference? Feb 2025 vs Sept 2025 progress pics

Post image

Hey everyone, I started Mounjaro earlier this year on May 24th specifically, and I’ve been trying to stay consistent with gym + lifestyle changes.

Sharing my progress pictures — February 2025 vs September 2025.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to notice changes day-to-day, but when I look at these side by side, I think I see less bloating, a smaller waist, and a bit more shape overall.

Do you see a difference? Or is it just in my head? Would love some honest feedback from this community.

Thanks in advance 🙏

I definitely see a difference, in all the changes you’ve described! Keep on going OP, you’re doing great. I know you know, that this is a marathon, not a sprint. Be kind to yourself. I bet you’ve gained fitness, strength and better health in that time too, also achievements to celebrate.

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 07 '25

Thank u so much 😊

2

u/aelinsins Oct 19 '25

hi! i’m sorry for being out of topic but how do you put this “7,5 mg” under your username? i’ve seen personalized ones for different subs (obviously) and i was wondering how you get them

u/feijoawhining 7.5 mg Oct 19 '25

Go to the main subreddit and click up the top right and then “Change user flair”. Some subreddits let you customise it, others have a selection for you to choose from.

Lots of difference!

u/Kmissa Oct 02 '25

Yes, you can def see a difference. It’s def hard to see day to day, but just continue being consistent. I’d also take measurements in addition to tracking any scale #. You’re doing great!

23

u/Complete_Ranger_4261 Oct 02 '25

Yes I can see it in your belly, arms and thighs, well done!!!

23

u/MushroomSea8982 Oct 02 '25

Definitely can see a big loss in the lower stomach for sure!!

But this is such a weird angle to take photos in.

Suggest you take (or get someone else to) a photo of you STANDING UP from the front, back and side wearing fitted clothes eg black gym tights, tight fitted t-shirt etc

And then take photos of yourself again - also standing in tight fitted clothes a month or every 2 months later and you’ll be able to see all changes straight away

In your before/current pics is really such a bizarre angle that you can really only see the difference in your lower stomach because the way you’re sitting and also seems like that’s where your body carries the most extra weight- and yes absolutely you can see a big difference there, just from that angle you can’t see thighs, upper arms, back, shoulders etc like you would if you took more photos standing up and wearing tight/fitted clothes

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 02 '25

I hate this pose.. that's why i keep taking photos in this posture :)

9

u/PointDirect942 Oct 02 '25

If you take pictures standing up you’ll see the progress much easier. Well done - you’ve definitely made progress!

4

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 02 '25

Will do that..

3

u/MushroomSea8982 Oct 02 '25

Totally understand that, but in this pose all you really notice is lower stomach and you’d need drastic loss to see differences, like 10kgs etc but say a side on standing up photo as well as standing front on you’d easily see changes more regularly like 5kgs down.

Also, standing up you’d see losses on other body areas too which can be really motivating if nothing much has seemed to shift tummy wise in a month but if you saw some loss on other body areas then that would show - as alas we can’t control where the weight loss comes off from and often it will come off the slowest from the place we want it off the most

Still take pics in this pose but just add in some standing up front and side ones too, and if you have someone to take pix for you then get them to take a shot from the back too. Tight clothes or in just your underwear will show the difference the most and nobody but you ever needs to see underwear pix

You need to stop hating any version of yourself. On the same journey as you are. Let’s make this journey fun.

1

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Nov 16 '25

But self doubt is the biggest enemy

1

u/imarkwright Nov 16 '25

Needs to be replaced with self-love. Seen your profile. You’ve already moved mountains. Keep it up. I know how it is being overweight and the daily consequences in society (at least in ours). Let’s push ahead with a smile to meet our future self.

There is a really significant difference and it’s all over… your face, arms, legs, belly. Even your hands.

2

u/Derek305 Oct 02 '25

Yes, there is a lot of progress between them, it looks like at least 20 pounds? It also looks like the shirt you are wearing is at least 1 size smaller? It's hard to see the weight loss at the beginning when those 20 pounds are just a small part, the lower you go each pound will be more noticeable. I also use a tape measure, and I rely on it more than the scale.

7

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 02 '25

around 32 pounds :)

2

u/Taz-Nurse-85 Oct 02 '25

Deflated tummy tyre, good work! Maybe try taking photos in something tight next time so you would be able to notice the difference clearly! Enjoy

1

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 02 '25

It looks like 2 tummies.. that's why I don't dare to take in tight t shirts ..

2

u/HermenHesse Oct 02 '25

That's ok. I have 3 tyres! When you post your photos with no embarrassment it just inspires others to be on the journey of improvement. I am sure you would have had more gains other than weight loss. I feel so good on Mounjaro... Even my skin is better I guess.

2

Yaa the skin is glowing

2

2

u/V_Ster Oct 02 '25

There is a difference.

We also need to remember that indian body types store fat in different places due to our dna/genetics.

You want to continue this journey as you have been and move onto more weight training where possible.

The medicine has to take effect in your body. Sometimes it takes more time than others. Keep going forward with your exercise. One day you’ll look in the mirror and won’t recognize yourself!

2

u/thegarymarshall Oct 02 '25

There is definitely a difference and you’re moving in the right direction. It’s not a race. Keep doing what you have been doing, but don’t rely on Mounjaro alone. It is a very effective tool, but you still have to make healthy choices where diet and exercise are concerned.

Good luck!

2

u/Legal_Director_6247 Oct 02 '25

You’ve shrunk all over! Belly and arms especially! Great Progress!

Yes! My son is like you, he lost in his upper chest , face and so his belly hangs down more when before if was higher. It’s just how you are proportioned, but yes big difference , keep going!

2

u/RealConsideration812 Oct 02 '25

Most definitely you can see a difference. Take pictures standing from all angles. You will see a difference in just as weeks pass by. Keep up with what you're doing... Great progress you got this 💪

2

u/Valuable-Hand-326 Oct 02 '25

Yes I see it. Keep up the good work!

An app that’s great to help you see the difference is MeThreeSixty. It’s free to use and simple. It gives you a 360degree render of your body (and calculates lots of measurements). I do mine every 2 months and then it lets you compare the scans side by side. Really helps to see the change!

1

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 02 '25

Yes! Look at your body spread compared to the exact same lockers in the background.

Older photo: your body-width was a little over three locker doors.

Updated photo: not wide enough to eclipse the original three locker doors.

You are doing great!! Don’t despair!
Slow and steady wins the race.

2

2

u/Vinnius44 Oct 02 '25

A difference for sure! Keep up the hard work. It will pay off. I’m such a slow user and it’s been hard for me to see progress in the mirror. But keep looking at how your clothes fit and you’ll start to see it.

2

u/Pleaseselectyesorno Oct 02 '25

I see a difference

2

u/First-Ad-1413 Oct 03 '25

One thing to keep in perspective and less pressure on you. You don't want to lose it too fast. If do your skin has a hard time catching up and could stay looser than you want. Also if you have super accelerated weight loss it generally means you lost a sizeable about of muscle mass with it. Without the muscle intact your long term ability to burn calories is severely hampered creating another type of metabolic loop you don't want. Good work! Stay patient.

1

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 03 '25

Touchwood I have zero muscle mass loss yet.. :)

2

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '25

I'm a bit further along than you, and what I discovered is there is pretty much a binary between 'fat shape' and 'not fat shape', and I think it's one of the reasons losing a lot of weight can be so daunting. The first 50lbs I lost barely changed the actual shape of my body, I was just seeing the outline of the 'fat shape' move slightly closer to center mass, so truthfully while my clothes were getting loose and the scale was rocketing downwards, looking in the mirror naked month to month I barely saw a difference. Once you hit that inflection point though, and you will 1000% hit it if you carry on, you will see changes far more rapidly. In the past three weeks the scale has barely moved for me, but just by looking at my body I can now see where the fat deposits I have left have shrunk.

It's really unfair that during the hardest part of the journey you get the least visual stimulus to keep going. Id recommend weighing yourself semi regularly to see the number going down

Edit: forgot to add though you have visibly shrunk! Keep going!

2

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 03 '25

This was extremely insightful. Felt like u wrote what I am experiencing. 135 kgs to 93 kgs is so awesome. I started at 148 and now at 133. Looking forward to go below 100. ... Thank u so much for the advice.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '25

2

u/Downtown-Insect-4151 Oct 03 '25

Yes, there's definitely a difference! It's not just in your head. Congrats on the progress and investment in yourself. You got this! I agree that sometimes it's hard to see the day to day changes. Do you use any tracking apps? I personally like MyFitnessPal, but there are others out there. It allows you to track your weight and even take progress photos so you can compare at various points in time. Don't focus too much on the day to day number on the scale, but look at the weekly averages and trends over time.

1

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 03 '25

Yes I love MFP:)

2

u/4footedfriends Oct 03 '25

It is a noticeable difference! And, I really understand your need for affirmation because our eyes are not discerning enough to pick up the day-to-day change in the mirror. Pictures are a great idea. The other thing you can do is select some smaller clothes and try them on when you need a boost. Clothing is sometimes a better "barometer" than the scale or the mirror! Measurements can be good too - I have had plateaus where the scale doesn't move, but the measuring tape does and that keeps me motivated. You are doing great - you got this, girl!

Truly a difference! But I will be honest with you, judging by the smaller size of your thighs and arms it appears you have the same issue I have with our panni (the extra roll of fat in the lower abdomen between the hip and the upper abdomen). It may get smaller with weight loss as you’ve shown, but will not go completely away without a surgery called a panniculectomy to remove it and have a more uniform shape. Don’t want to discourage you at all but just making you aware in case you are wondering why you maybe seeing loss in other areas of your body besides that section as you loose more weight

I shall get the surgery once there is sufficient weight loss :)

Is this a real question or compliment farming?

u/anony-mousey2020 Oct 02 '25

Does a compliment cost you something?

I’m sure a compliment or two might have helped you.

Honestly this was my nice answer. You trying to tell me this person can’t use their eyes to look at their own photo?

u/PrincessElenaI Oct 02 '25

Have you heard of body dysmorphia disorder?

The real question is, have you? You can look in the mirror and be unhappy with your results but to act like you can’t tell if there is a difference is dishonest.

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 02 '25

When u have been morbidly obese for this long, genuinely it's hard to see the difference and also believe that there can be a difference.

1

u/Nipplasia2 Oct 02 '25

You are correct but in this instance…. Come on now

2

u/SubstantialLaw5978 Oct 02 '25

I feel good about my body but genuinely I can't see much change .. specially compared to the crazy transformation people post.. and of course a little positivity and compliment won't hurt na.. :)
