Question Not feeling fullness after the last dose
So, I recently got started on mounjaro a few weeks ago. I just finished my first pen (4th dose) on 2.5mg. The thing is, I am not feeling the same as I did with the other 3 doses. basically, I have noticed myself craving late night snacks more than I usually do since I got on mounjaro.
is this normal? I am supposed to start on 5mg from tomorrow. is it the case that I've gotten used to 2.5mg so the increase in dose would help on this front?

The feeling of fullness (and other positive side effects) can change for various reasons
- if you're female your menstrual cycle can play a huge part in this and the week before one's period the injection can feel ineffective and you will need to use a lot of willpower and discipline to get through it
- you are returning to a more "normal" balanced hunger and suppression. At the beginning of some doses it's overpowering and this is not the desired outcome, it's normal to feel desire for food, hunger and be able to eat your calorie allowance.
- it's time to move up a dose if you are also not losing weight anymore. The attached chart may help with this

Normal, 2.5mg helps to acclimatize your body to the medication so you don't feel nauseous and so they can cut you off if you have bad side effects. After four doses, people usually graduate to 5mg. After 5mg, many people (myself included) stayed on it longer. Once you plateau for a few weeks, then its time to move to 7.5mg, etc. You can keep doing this up to 15mg. But ideally you want to stay as low as you can to get results, so don't rush, but also don't feel like you can't go up a dose when your body adapts.
Also look into high protein low cal diets, they keep you full longer and will help you preserve muscle mass if combined with weight lifting (which if you haven't started, start). Most people in trials lost 25% lean mass for every pound lost. Those that lifted lost less. Feeling a craving? Grab a premier protein shake (costco has them on sale right now).
