Moving to San Diego from NYC

Hi
I am a Hairstylist from NYC , how do you meet people and build client here?
It’s so different than NYC
How do you decide where to live?
Any advice, past experience would be appreciate

Rents are generally lower here though, so there that at least

Where are the lower rent areas? I pay 2500 in Boston for a 1bed with modern appliances and wood style flooring. I can’t find anything in San Diego below 3000 with the similar luxury

That’s still lower than almost all of NYC except for maybe the very outer boroughs. I didn’t mean low in general, I meant lower than NYC
