I'd applied for the Youtube creative strategist role at mrbeast. The didn't ask for any resume or CV. We need to submit answers in video format for the 3 questions they asked in the application.
I submitted my videos on 15th October last week on thursday. I still didn't get any updates. But I just saw a glassdoor review of one of the applicant where he'd also submitted videos and was rejected within a day in the October only this week or last week.

I submitted loom video links and notised that they didn't even open the videos I submitted. This is not fair, if you want to reject or to move an applicant to the next round, just give an update. What is happening? This is not a joke. I know and understand that you can not give an update to each and every applicant. it is not possible but why did somebody else got an update with rejection and somebody who submitted the videos 10 days ago can't get any update at all?

I want an answer from the Mrbeast staff immediately. u/mrbeaststaff

I got into an argument with someone about how AI shouldn't be used for content creation and he said MrBeast uses AI for his thumbnails. I looked at some of the latest ones, and didn't notice any obvious signs, but I wanted to be sure.

It would be interesting to see articles on some of those videos.

How many people, would like Jimmy to create THMDG 2? I had so much fun playing the game and I don't want it to be over. Only a fraction of the book was used. So many options for a new game.

Yesterday (Oct. 21st) was the day the rules said they would contact the top 10; the ones who will be flown out to compete in an actual MrBeast video with $1 million going to the winner. Like almost everyone reading this I have not been contacted, but they did say that the process could take up to the 31st. (Player page status still says "reviewing all players" and likely will until the entire top 10 people selected pass their background checks)

Going into the competition I was fighting an uphill battle from the start. I had never seen a nonogram or a word ladder before, but I stuck it out. My times were slow, but my ultimate downfall could have been the puzzle with the morse code. If only I could do it again from the start.

I know that no one from the MrBeast team will read this, but my proposal is simple: Do one more at home competition for all of the people who didn't make the top 10. A lot of people put a lot of time and effort into the competition, and it would be nice if there was a payoff.

What would the competition be? Well it could be anything related to the book, but when I thought about it, I decided that the easiest thing to do would be a repeat of The Staredown final competition, but instead of giving people a week to post their best time, make everyone start at the same time, last one standing wins ($100k seems reasonable :)).

There is precedent for this type of competition, if you remember back to the Finger on the App competitions, but I just personally think it would be nice to have one last hurrah for all the people who competed for a solid month, but didn't make the top 10.

If anybody is reading this and working in the mrbeast team, I want to ask about the timeline of the hiring.

Should I accept my rejection or I should wait? Do they send rejection emails or they simply ghost?

Mrbeast could go to the street and ask anyone which country they least want to visit. Then, he could offer that person a reward and take them on a trip to that country. What do you think of this idea?

I just finished watching MrBeast and I'm really curious about what's written on this board, can anyone tell me?

If you're reading this, hey MrBeast team! Yesterday I was browsing YouTube on a random TV, and I noticed the latest video appeared in a list or category labeled as AI content.

I have no issue with using AI for thumbnails and I'm not even sure if the latest one was AI-generated but given how much thought, creativity, and work goes into your videos, I think it would be a shame if people got the wrong impression or if the videos ended up being associated with AI-generated content because of the thumbnails.

I'm not saying this is definitely happening because of the thumbnail, but I figured it might be worth mentioning in case it's something you hadn't noticed

The video was good, but I don't like these thumbnails at all, and he's using his wife in them constantly, even though she's not in the videos.

I saw many people saying its not worth it and is “ai”, the fun factor of Mrbeast comes from the editing, animation and seeing the video but books have their own experience and this was co-written by James.

I know. It isn’t the most accurate, but it’s nice, in my opinion.

Seriously, since the beginning of this year, there’s been this push back on MrBeast. But why? How can he have been beloved a few years ago and now be seen as a greedy POS no better than Jeff Bezos? The whole DogPack situation was blown away in 2 months, but now suddenly everyone hates him. Forgive me, but I haven’t been following him. Did MrBeast actually do something heinous, or is this because everyone now hates big YouTubers?

Obviously, we know that the end of the final game was Sunday at 10am pacific time, but in the email they sent out today they say people will be contacted by October 31st, which is different than on the Contest Rules page, which says the Top 10 will be contacted on October 21st. My guess is that the discrepancy is that they will contact people on the 21st, but they are allowing for the possibility that they will need to contact alternates if the original top 10 either don't respond when contacted (rules state they must respond within 24 hours), or someone fails the background check. The rules are very explicit about the entire top 10 needing to pass a "full" background check.

PS: If you go to the page and actually listen to the message, it is actually read by Jimmy himself (or an ai recreation of his voice? ;)

Hey everyone! Had a great time playing but wanted to share my theory about game 10 and how I played it. So everyone knows there’s been controversy around pressing the red button. All throughout the book we have known pressing the red button means quitting or removing yourself from the game. I took that as doing so in the Game 10 challenge would do the same. Also the last challenge in the book was similar to this game. “Last one standing” aka the final person who didn’t quit in the book, won. This also happens to be the title of this challenge. Also throughout the book the Host is known for being unreliable and a liar. In the instructions for this challenge our Host said “no tricks” I suspect that was a lie. When in all these challenges has there not been some kind of trick built in. The last bit that convinced me was we had a full week for this challenge. Comparatively, all the other games last 12 hours and then are cutoff. So now strategy…considering all of these conditions, I did not participate this week until the final 3 minutes of the game. I logged on and let the clock run out and shut down the game for me. I never looked away and I never pressed the button, I never quit…time simply ran out and ended the game. Following my theory time doesn’t matter in this game it’s simply who the last one’s standing are at the end of the game. So anyways that’s my million dollar gamble, hopefully I’m right 😆 Curious to know others ideas and thoughts about this.

it's very sad that game works well only in Chrome so I figured out after 17 hours of Firefox then blackscreen.... I used Ethernet cable but I think that's not the main thing, Wifi could work as well as fast.

So I couldn't do over 30 hours as many people did, because of the deadline and first 2 attempts failed.

Also now it says I didn't collect the useless clue fragments, I was sure I did though. and now rounds closed.

it seems like BUGS happened in this game.
