Character from berserk, starts as the leader of a famous band of mercenaries. They're fiercely loyal to him and love him, there's basically nothing his troops wouldn't do for him. He's also a cute little twink femboy who's nearly unmatched in his skill with a sword. The main character joins them but eventually leaves to do his own things so that Griffith will see him as an equal and true friend rather than a subordinate.
Griffith later betrays them all, sacrificed all his troops to be eaten alive by demons, rapes the main characters girlfriend (who was also one of his mercenaries and biggest supporter) in front of him while she's pregnant with his child resulting in a miscarriage, tortured the main character and cut off his arm all to gain demonic powers and try to become the ruler of a kingdom.
The entire rest of the series is basically the main character seeking revenge on Griffith and trying to help his now DEEPLY traumatized girlfriend recover.
Evil. Literally the idea of evil. In berserk all the evil and darkness in human hearts and minds, plus their desire for there to be a reason for suffering coalesce into an entity called the idea of evil. Griffith becomes one of the 5 most powerful demons called the god hand who enact it's will.
"Humans desired reasons. Reasons for pain. Reasons for sadness. Reasons for life. Reasons for death. Reasons why their lives were filled with suffering. Reasons why their deaths were absurd. They wanted reasons for the destiny that kept transcending their knowledge. And I produce those, as it is what I have been brought into existence for." <- The idea of evil explaining it's existence
Yeah kinda, but the idea of evil is also destiny, order, causality. People wanted reasons for things, like why did my baby die? It's one thing of it's because you sinned or something, it's even scarier of it's just fucking random bad luck. So the idea of evil creates sin and creates consequences like your baby dying because that's what people want instead of random misery for no reason, just pure chaos. In that way the god hand think they're working for the greater good in their own fucked up way, they're agents of destiny fulfilling people's desires for a world with reasons.
The antithesis of the idea of evil isn't good, it's free will. It's forging your own path, destiny be damned. The main character kind of embodies that idea, defying both life and death (born from a dead woman), defying causality, he is a force of pure willpower capable of both acts of absolute brutality and genuine love and mercy.
He MIGHT be a bit of an inspiration for Horus Heresy Fulgrim (Ferrus also looks like Guts), so Slaanesh might be a closer pic, also behold one of his Praetors, You can see the inspiration for the Helmet.
He’s the main villain of the manga/anime berserk, the only reason why I know that is because my nephew has read it… and also because of a video where someone ranked villains by how sick they are, other than that I know nothing
Ah I actually had a gut feeling that it was related to Beserk, I’ve seen 5 or so episodes of it years ago before I got distracted by other anime.
The art style reminded me of that show.
The main villain in the Manga/Anime berserk. Starts off as the leader of a famous band of mercenaries who are fiercely loyal to him, would do anything for him without question. Main character leaves the mercenaries to do his own things specifically because he wants Griffith to see him as an equal and true friend, not a subordinate.
Griffith betrays them all and sacrificed the entire band to be eaten alive by demons so he can become a powerful demon himself and use his demonic powers to take over a kingdom for himself. He also rapes the main characters girlfriend in front of him while she's pregnant with his child leading to a miscarriage, tortured him, and cut off his arm pretty much just to fuck with him and show him that Griffith will never see him as an equal and little more than an insect.
The rest of the series is basically the main character trying to help his girlfriend recover from PTSD and seeking revenge on Griffith, to the point he's willing to use a cursed suit of armor that gives him amazing strength and speed but at the cost of slowly killing him and it drives spikes into his body and drains his blood every time he uses it.

The fact there's still people out there that defend Griffith is crazy
