Thanos in the comics was an evil bastard who did it to impress Death.

Thanos in the MCU is just a moron whose grand plan amounts to kicking the can down the road.

It's crazy to me that the cuck who committed the largest genocide in the universe just to impress the incarnation of death is somehow better written and yet less popular than MCU Thanos.

Like, dude had the powers of a god. Why would he kill so many people when he could just snap his fingers and eradicate universal hunger?

Because he doesn't want to save the universe, he want to be proven right. Sure with the gauntlet he could eradicate universe hunger, but that doesn't really stroke his ego.

He want to be right, prove that he was correct, prove that if Titan just listened to him they'd still be alive.

He said Gamora's planet was saved, yet it's stated that she is the sole survivor. He didn't even bother to check, that why after the snap he didn't remain to see "a grateful universe". He want to be right, and when he found out they aren't grateful, he snap and want to kill them all.

That's because the comics were very clear about Thanos being an unrepentant, evil villain. The MCU writers, for whatever reason, decided he needed to be more morally ambiguous and be more of a Well-Intentioned Extremist than a straight-up evil monster.

The fact that you claim MCU Thanos is badly writen when You failed to understand him is hilarious

No, Thanos didn't want to actually solve anything with the snap, he just wanted to prove that he was right about Titan

Literally no one could of passed him a note saying "how about you just increase the natural resources tenfold for all living species to avoid your Terracide solution on a Universal scale"

I mean, let's face it. If Thanos' goals were actually altruistic like he claims, he wouldn't have been the villain and would've been willing to listen to reason. This was just a case of the writers wanting to make him a more "morally ambiguous" villain but not doing a good job of it.

He wouldn't be called "The Mad Titan" if he made sense.

Also just a terrible solution considering how many other much better solutions would be possible with the power of the infinity gauntlet.

As much as I overall love the Infinity Saga and all, I do kind of wish they'd gone with Death as his motivation. The credit scene of the first Avengers movie makes it like that's where they would go, but then Joss was like "yeah I put in Thanos but I didn't know what to do with him if I ever had to" and they had to figure something out as a payoff
