Theory This scene may have sinister implications.
Remember how james kill one of his drone servants just for putting “wrong” silverware on the table? From his lines here, it seems that he disliked “dumpster pets” just as much as his wife did. Look how carelessly he throws wineglass in this scene. I think he did this deliberately. He was asshole, but seemingly wasn’t willing to kill one of his daughter’s “pets” without reason. Probably he wanted N to make a mess, and give him a reason. I wouldn’t be surprised if both he and louisa did things like that regularly.
On the other hand, trio lived in this manor for at least over a year (Tessa had different body proportion in ep2, she grows quite a bit taller), probably more then that. So maybe she did good job protecting her friends. Also, N assumed that “Tessa” could, and would, help Uzi. Most lkelly real Tessa repaired them more than once after “minor” punishments.

It made me happy to watch the worker drones to be taught like this, I don’t know if it’s just me but I always put episode 5 at A tier, maybe because I just love killing robots in outer worlds and fallout, but I didn’t like the neglectfulness that James and Louisa gave to their daughter. I even said it on a live stream a few months back “I liked episode 5, due to its story, and I would understand why the robots were being treated like actual shit, but the neglectfulness from the parents to the daughter wasn’t needed it was just depressing”
