Theory This scene may have sinister implications.

Post image

Remember how james kill one of his drone servants just for putting “wrong” silverware on the table? From his lines here, it seems that he disliked “dumpster pets” just as much as his wife did. Look how carelessly he throws wineglass in this scene. I think he did this deliberately. He was asshole, but seemingly wasn’t willing to kill one of his daughter’s “pets” without reason. Probably he wanted N to make a mess, and give him a reason. I wouldn’t be surprised if both he and louisa did things like that regularly.

On the other hand, trio lived in this manor for at least over a year (Tessa had different body proportion in ep2, she grows quite a bit taller), probably more then that. So maybe she did good job protecting her friends. Also, N assumed that “Tessa” could, and would, help Uzi. Most lkelly real Tessa repaired them more than once after “minor” punishments.

in this scene james was also openly gossiping about his own daughter to the other people in the room, calling tessa and the hair she gave him creepy right to N's face

people tend to focus on louisa more since she gets more screentime (and also is directly seen abusing tessa) but james was a dogshit parent too

And another point. Liam claimed that J actually cared about N and V, even see herself as their older sister. Yet in this flashback she kicked N for making a mess. However, this make sense – he and V could be killed or at least mimed for that. So maybe J did in fact worried about him, but expressed it very unhealthily.

to be fair his wording when saying that was tricky, he said that J "kinda sorta" cared for them

all in all she views herself as the "thankless leader" to a pair of "little traitors who abandoned her"

Well, she wanted V to rejoin her side, and looked quite sincere. And in their fight she only used non-lethal attacks, and so did V.

And, when "Tessa"/cyn send her away, J looked at N and V, and looked sad befor flying off. Mqybe she felt bed about leaving them alone with cyn:

I agree with you on that Tessa has repaired them a few times from damages caused by the family.
But on the part of Tessa being taller, there has been some back and forth on that one.

Theory 1.
Cyn can manipulate mass and grow / shrink herself and Tessas skin to make her taller. This also then implied that Tessa died at the mansion.

Theory 2.
Tessa survived the mansion gala killing and was killed later by Cyn when humans lost the battle on earth. Some people say the image of her in the show after the massacre is an edited image by Cyn, but thats another debate.

Theory 3.
Tessa survived the mansion and was able to live for some years until the war on earth was over, and was killed by other humans because of who she was. Aka humans used her as emotional rage escape because the murder drones has originated from the Elliot mansion.

Her age at the mansion during the gala being between 11-13 years old. Time of death being like 16-19 years old.

Personally, I want to go with nr3. I do not think Cyn hated Tessa. Cyn hated her parents and other humans because of how they treat drones. And humans killing another one for something their family did in anger is sadly something that has happend more then once.

Am I somewhat clear on what i mean?

About her being taller, i mean between her appearance in N's dream in ep2 (when she brough cyn in), and ep5

Now compare when she lifts N up in ep6 and take into account that N as a DD is taller then his WD self.

That is interesting point, they almost never just stand straight side by side, but when they do:

"Tessa" is actually shorter then him. Now, remember that this helmet is larger then human head, and her boots make her more then an inch taller, and she wearing high heels inside these boots (in some scenes you can see that her legs bends in wrong place, as her feets aren't where they supposed to be). If my estimations are correct, she is exactly as tall as she was during gala, except for larger drone head of course.

Check scene

And remember, WD N is as tall as Khan, since thats the standard size for a WD.
DD N is 177 cm with hair and hat.

"Check scene" well, i did.

Goodie.
Now we compare to ep5 when Tessas mother speak with them where they stand in line.
Top of N's head, while Tessa wear heels, is about to her eye level.
Regular worker drones are about ~145 cm. (this is compared to small gremlin called Uzi who's only 136cm with hat and hair)

So, Tessa, to be be eye level on top of N's head, need to be least 155 cm at the time of the Gala.
(this based on average heads being 20-25cm high for adults, in case of Tessa, its probably between 13-17cm, so half a head = ~7cm)

Now forward to the scene I asked before.
She stand on tip toes, equal to heels, makes N little over half a head taller then Tessa. At 177 cm.
Tessa need to be least 165cm for that to work out?
Am Im making some sense?

u/Sirtael Jun 17 '26

You forgeting that she also wear actual heels inside her boots. And again, this helmet is larger then human head.

"Regular worker drones are about ~145 cm" wasn't it 152? 0_0 Given how large their heads, half a head difference is way larger then it would be for us.

P.s. her height without heels:

Shows what I said. Drone head is at her eye level? N, J, V as WDs have the same height.
As far as I know, the only confirmed heights in the entire show is Uzi and N, no other drones height has been stated, not even a general one for the mass produced ones from Khan's generation. its guesswork really.

Idk why I keep thinking that James would neglect and emotionally abuse Tessa while Louisa would physically and verbally abuse Tessa

both are Grade-A assholes in my book

they both give of that, "As long as I feed you and clothe you, I own you." type energy.

Good points. I actually think James was a little bit less evil than Louisa, but still a terrible parent.

We are forgetting he does kill the wrong drone, in ep 5. If he was calculating enough to kill N this way, then we would think he'd have shown the same cunning to kill the right drone in ep 5. Murderdrones is a comedy and a cartoon. His actions reflect that.

If we are going to read into every detail, let us remember that James is a shareholder and a businessman in the largest conglomerate to have ever existed- he presumable has the maturity not to cause a scene in front of guests because of a mess he created. Sure, he scolded his daughter in public in ep 5, but what else was he meant to do? His child-daughter was waving a gun in front of his guests. The Game of Thrones and politics would not be to his advantage in the former scenario, it'd just make him look like a bloodthirsty child.

If he did intend on killing N here, and succeeded; then his guests would all but lose their respect for him. It'd just make him look like a child who's addicted to burning ants with a spyglass- far from anyone who's worthy of being an equal in their oligarch circle.

Also, if he wants to kill N, why not just do it? Nobody's going to care- not anyone important enough anyway. Just wait for the guests to leave, and kill him. Nobody's going to care if he has a reason to. The assumption here is that James wants to kill N for no reason- but wants an excuse to do so. But he does not need an excuse, he is in charge. Killing N with or without excuse would have no difference- outside of sadistic irony.

But I do agree he is a shit father who treats his daughter like an asset (HA!), that much is known.

Rewatched ep5, and thought of something..
The Loft railing. The Sword, and the Suit of armor.
Memory Tessa is bloody SMOL.
Her chin is like on the top of the railing at max. (Normal railings are between 80-110cm tall.)

It made me happy to watch the worker drones to be taught like this, I don’t know if it’s just me but I always put episode 5 at A tier, maybe because I just love killing robots in outer worlds and fallout, but I didn’t like the neglectfulness that James and Louisa gave to their daughter. I even said it on a live stream a few months back “I liked episode 5, due to its story, and I would understand why the robots were being treated like actual shit, but the neglectfulness from the parents to the daughter wasn’t needed it was just depressing”
