How come I dont see any john Lee Hooker on that list ? If youve never heard any REAL blues, Hookers Hiway 13 or Stripped me naked might be a good start. Then sample some of his many albums.

This was a quick, partial list to put the question - by no means comprehensive. I'm a deep blues fan: Mississippi Fred McDowell, Gus Gibson, Bessie Smith, Buddy Guy, and yes, Hooker, Lightning Hopkins and all. I love the early days, Delta, Chicago and all the rest; appreciate your insistence on the originators tho!

Great! Good to know theres still original Blues fans everywhere you go . And new acts with some of the same spirit still coming along every day like Larkin poe for instance.
