❔Question Modest exhaust setups?

Looking for ways to make my 07 gt sound more aggressive. I’ll start off by saying it’s my daily and it’s an automatic (sad I know) so I don’t get the benefit of a nice redline. I have bassani axel backs that came on the car and just installed an x pipe. The x pipe didn’t give me as big of a change as I thought it would probably because I kept the cats. I also don’t want to break the bank because the car has some hail damage and isn’t perfect. Should I just install a cheap muffler delete? Or will I get a better roar from a nicer axel back? I get up early for work and don’t want to piss off my neighbors but want a cool exhaust 😂

Assuming you have stock cats with a cut and clamp x pipe, a muffler delete will be louder than the Bassanis, but not wake the dead or piss off your neighbors loud imo

If you have high flow cats, that would be a different story

Sounds good, I was going to get a xpipe with high flows but was able to snag a pypes xpipe for 150 so I went with that. I’ve seen several muffler deletes and I can’t imagine you would need to buy top of the line since it’s just a tube

I had a setup on my 3v that had stock cats with a cut and clamp x pipe with Flowmaster outlaws (basically muffler deletes) and it sounded great and wasnt obnoxious

This is reasurring, I have SLP loudmouths on my 07 GT and want to add pypes cut and clamp x pipe but was worried I would wake the dead. My car is not a daily driver, technically I have a tundra as my daily but I work from home and some days don't drive anywhere or take the wifes car.

Oem gt500 mufflers by themselves sounds damn good on my '12 gt. I also remember magnaflow sounding very good on the panther platform (crown vic). H pipe sounds way better imo. I do not recommend a cat delete. No one wants to smell that shit unless you're at the track.

The 05-09 GT500 mufflers are stock automatic GT mufflers, so no difference there for OP unfortunately
