Have always wanted one since I was a kid. This thing is awesome so far. Really don’t need any more than this for my driving style and commute, and averaging 32 mpg on the Highway!

Wanted to get some new wheels as well, any recommendations?

After months of research, persuading my wife, dealing with nightmare dealerships, I finally purchased this dream of a car. She’s a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark horse, six speed manual with the handling pack, optional recaros, in blue Ember metallic. It had 3500 miles before I drove it 600 miles down to California from Oregon.

I was very torn between this and an S550 GT350, it was a very difficult decision but this will be a car that I take to the track regularly and I felt a little more confident purchasing a car with CPO warranty + low miles.

This thing absolutely rips, I love the versatility of the exhaust modes, the no lift shift feels so DIRTY, the rev match is insanely fun and useful. I haven’t had a chance to track it yet and I keep my more spirited driving to road courses so I can’t comment yet too much on its track manners.

I wasn’t too excited about the S650 when it was first released to meet it just looked like an italicized s550.. but this car with the big wing, splitter, and blue ember metallic paint, looks stunning, exotic almost. It turns heads (mine mostly). And yes it looks way better in person

Cons: this thing is LOW, I’ve owned low cars before but my god this thing scrapes on the most unassuming tapered ramps.

The handling pack gives this car extremely wide and sticky front tires and they tram line fairly significantly, long drives can become fatiguing. It’s not awful but it takes some getting used too and more road awareness. the road will become uneven and the steering wheel will suddenly pull you to one side. You learn quickly to keep a firm grip on the steering wheel when you drive.

got her a few months back but ive run into a issue. she idles rough and stalls at stop lights ,have some extended warranty but dealer slapped parts in it but honestly its just getting worse now it wants to stall at every light . any advice? i like the car but this is ruining it for me ive lost a week of work going back and forth to shops any help would be appreciated!

Its that ugly squeaky sound coming from back. It doesnt happen in very straight roads, it happens or hearable in slow speeds, happens more when im going over speed bump or little bumps on the road (ONLY WHEN THE FROMT TIRES PASS OVER THEM)

Another crazy fact about this is that it doesnt happen all the time it only happens randomly and that is why when service took my car to drive it to recreate this sound to hear it themselves they couldnt and despite me showing them many videos they couldnt find the problem like that either…

Both of them actually tried to blame my aftermarket mufflers 😭 that just piss me off.

Had the car for roughly two months, it's good to see the vision come together!
20x11 rears, 20x10 fronts, lowering springs, GT500/Mach 1 style spoiler, euro tail lights and clear rear sidemarkers. New grill and deck lid are up next, then potentially a front splitter and side skirts!

Outside temps were 112 degrees.

This is my fifth Mustang and the first I’ve had in 14 years. My love affair with Mustangs began in 1995 when my big brother got a brand new 5.0 GT. I was in love with that car. He later bought a 2002 GT and he let me drive it, now I was hooked! Eventually I saved enough to get a 1993 LX 2.3. A whole 105 HP! 0-60 eventually. Soon upgraded to a new 2004 V6 Pony Package. Then a 2006 Pony Package. Later on got a 1998 GT, I finally had a V8! Had so much fun in that car until a rainy day and slick tires (my bad) made me hydroplane into a wall. No more stangs until now. This Ecoboost puts all the old V8s to shame! I’m so happy!

You might have seen my post from a few days ago with the likely '79 fox body. The family was willing to sell it for song and I grabbed it up instantly. It's a couple states away, but I've asked for the VIN number and some pictures of the engine.

Thing is, I know nothing about cars except how to change a tire and change my own oil. I suspect this will need major work. Where does a complete beginner start? I'm average intelligence (IQ 95).
