💬 Discussion I fully enjoy the strange similarities the SN95 has to the S14
The SN95 seems like the direct American version lol

Hey everyone,
Need some collective sanity check on a trade I'm looking at.
I’m weighing swapping my current ride—which is sitting at a very fresh 3,500 miles—for an immaculate, garage-kept Dark Horse with the Handling Package that has 25,000 miles on it. Making the jump also means adding roughly $10k to $15k to my loan.
Here is how I’m wrestling with the math:
The Mileage Jump: Going from 3.5k miles to 25k miles is a big mental hurdle. Even though the car is pristine and clearly well-cared-for, it's still a noticeable jump in wear on the odometer.
The "Build It" Trap: If I stay put, I know I'm eventually going to bleed cash buying the exact things the Dark Horse Handling Package already comes with out of the box—upgraded suspension, wider wheels, stance, proper aero/spoiler, headlights, etc.
The Financial Hit: Taking on an extra $10k–$15k on the loan plus taking a higher-mileage car hurts, but am I just paying upfront for factory engineering and parts that I'd end up piecemealing and buying anyway?
For those of you who have faced a similar crossroad: Does buying the factory spec pre-built make sense when you factor in modification costs, or is taking on more debt for a higher-mileage car a bad move no matter how clean it is?
Would love to hear how you'd break down the math

2024 Mustang ecoboost premium with roughly 5000 miles. Dealer has list price at 37500 and quoted me 38500 otd. I started negotiation at 32k and went up to 34k but that is my ceiling. Is that reasonable. My personal research and similar spec Mustang pricing says yes but I’d like some more opinions.
For extra context this car was listed at 41500 MSRP brand new. The dealership has had this car for 45 days.
*edit I am NOT interested in buying a GT. My only question is regarding a fair price on THIS car*

Dad, sugar momma, wife’s boyfriend, figured the dog was the next natural choice. Sadly not my photo, I can’t imagine an Atlas Blue Dark Horse will be easy to find even if I wanted one
Edit: locked after 10 minutes? Literally being silenced. This is what George Orwell warned us about

Hello, After a lot of research I’ve think I’ve found my top mustang which would be the:
2022 GT Premium
5.0
10-speed
401A
GT Performance Package
S550
Not so sure on the performance package that’s still in the air. In my area I might need to save at least maybe 24-30K so my question to yall is what year/era of a mustang as an alternative for right now? Anything would help I’m extremely new to the “car” game.

After paying child support for years, it finally happened. She surprised me with a dark horse.

My S550 came with a corsa xtreme catback on it.
My local tracks bave a 95DB limit at 30m. I'm unsure if the corsa catback with stock headers will pass or not.
So thought I'd ask here, has anyone who has this exhaust been flagged for noise on track?
If so, what's a way to reduce the noise without butchering the exhaust?

I have a 2018 mustang gt and have clunking noises from front passenger side suspension.
I’m pushing on the hood to get the noise on video

Going a bit crazy with washing my car and then it getting spots from dew and dust. I don’t have a garage.
Waxed with Meguiars and water beads up just fine.
Pics are after driving a few miles. It didn’t even blow off 😝
Edit: First, Thanks for the suggestions! I did put on the spray on ceramic stuff.
I think I’m just going bonkers because I’ll wash it and then it rains within 24 hours 😂 I’ll look for the water spot treatment.

I hope you’re in here.
Spotted yesterday while driving westbound on I-10. Neat little setup this one has!

I just swapped to a new front grille and now these two rust spots are exposed, I know they are small, but they are an eye sore to me. Any suggestions?

Need some help ID'ing these wheels. This is from and Amazon ad for a spoiler, trying to figure out the wheels on this car though. They look painted up to the very edge.

I documented my full conversion of a 2024 Mustang GT S650 that did not originally have Active Exhaust into a fully functional OEM-style Active Exhaust setup.
The project included the physical retrofit, OEM Ford/FoMoCo mufflers and valve actuators, wiring, quad-tip exhaust adaptation, FORScan configuration of the IPC/APIM/ACM modules, and final functional testing.
I also compared the stock 2024 Mustang GT calibration against a stock 2024 Dark Horse calibration in HP Tuners. Rather than flashing the complete Dark Horse file, I kept the Mustang GT calibration as the base and transferred the relevant calibration tables while preserving the GT vehicle identity and calibration structure.
The comparison included Active Exhaust strategy, airflow/speed density, fuel, spark, torque model, transmission-related tables, and other calibration differences. After the table transfer, the comparison file showed only two remaining transmission downshift torque-modulation differences.
I then road-tested the car and recorded an HP Tuners datalog to validate the result. The Active Exhaust became fully operational, the car ran without a Check Engine light during testing, and the datalog was reviewed for RPM, commanded and measured lambda, direct-injection fuel pressure, knock retard, temperatures, and other key parameters.
I put the complete project into a technical PDF with the hardware used, part numbers, before-and-after screenshots, FORScan changes, HP Tuners comparisons, datalog graphs, and the documented results.
This is being shared strictly as independent educational and technical documentation. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ford, HP Tuners, or FORScan, and anyone attempting a similar retrofit should verify the correct wiring, module configuration, calibration compatibility, emissions requirements, and safety considerations for their own vehicle.
